  • Very good information! I did this for my T410i with no problems at all. Went from 2GB to 6GB of RAM. Definitely makes a difference here.

  • Great video ! Thank for the share

  • Hey, what configuration has your laptop?

I see you have a nice average score of 5,9.

  • its not that easy on T400

  • hey im using the Thinkpad T400 and I bought a couple of 4GB ram DDR3 1066. Do you think it is compatible?

  • @Deltoidz They should be. But in order to install both you're going to have to remove the keyboard :/

  • I need a questioned answered. I went to crucial to view the memory options available for the laptop. Since i ordered mine today. I need to add another 4gig stick but there are two options (voltage not speed). How do i know what voltage ram i should add to my laptop? and what happens if i use the wrong one

  • @fivbag Just set it to Auto, the BIOS should detect and setup voltages accordingly.

  • Thank you for a very helpful video. Good tip on removing the battery. I previously added memory to a Lenovo T61 and didn't remove the battery.

  • whoa! 8.00 gig RAM! where did you get that card from?

  • @Zenthenium Nahh theres another 4 GB stick under the keyboard. :) I only installed a 4GB stick.

  • @iPodAppsWeekly ohh. if only i knew how to open up the keyboard lol RAM only costs about $15 right?

  • @iPodAppsWeekly thankyuo body now i have an idea how to installe more memory ram in my lenovo b570...keep it up!!!!!thx

  • What about the t400? There is no such plate on the bottom. Please help.

  • @jeffphilips You should refer to the manual on where to install the DIMM.

  • how muchs the ram

  • @rdcsg RAM can vary in price depending on the speed, amount (measured in Gbs), and brand. I just got 8Gb of G. Skill RAM from Newegg for my Lenovo SL 510. Roughly $43.--

  • @rdcsg Depends. My 4 GB stick was 20-30

  • Thanks for posting. I'm just ordered at T420: which ram did you use? Thanks and great video.

  • @supanagga You can basically use any RAM that is made for laptops and has less or equal speed. For the T420, its 4GB DDR3 1333MHz PC3 10600

  • @iPodAppsWeekly Thanks!

  • @chrisfeyen1 The other DIMM slot is underneath the keyboard so its a BIT more tedious to upgrade D:

  • Nice thinkpad ive got the t61 and a22m great machines

  • @yanni6556 I know! They're awesome! The new ones are pretty sleek and are lightning fast. <3 Thinkpad. I love their security features!

  • @yanni6556 And thanks :) My dad has a T61 for his work I believe.
