  • @WhereIsTheBeefBro my mistake on last comment i notice the pilot push down 2 thrust pedals the 2nd and the 3rd engines were at full power

  • @houshidar558 huh ????

  • @WhereIsTheBeefBro thats the answer it was 2 engines blowing the car you asked if it was 2 engines lol

  • @houshidar558 Learn to use punctuation.

  • They did great things with these engines in the new Jack-ass movie

  • made in CHINA

  • A classic car such as the Citroen 2CV, completely destroyed... Stupid people!!

  • @Xixonudu Classic car or cardboard craker box ? I would not want to go anywhere in that French suicide ride!

  • Take that you terrorist.

  • they only used the two middle engines you can see it here 2:22 ....boring!

  • @Pawlowitch they wouldn't have used engine 4, the one on the right side cos they wouldn't exactly want folks on the side being hit by debris.

  • That car is like ''DO A BARREL ROLL''

  • DO A BARREL ROLL.

  • If y stood behind that I wonder how far u will fly?

  • @982102010 First, I'm sure your head will go off, second, you will fly approximately 100 meters away.

  • I wonder what the airplane insurers thought of this?

  • Virgin Atlantic!

  • What's with the Lord of The Rings Background Music at 1:13? XD

  • what a waste of a nice 2CV..

  • Big engine. Lightweight hippie car

  • wife says to husband " you had to take the shortcut !"

  • i wonder wat that does to you

  • im scared of that thing

  • @imyk2k9 dude dont be.youd have to be retarded to drive behind a huge jet.

    actually,747s are awesome.

just never be retarded and drive behind one!

  • Gotta love Top Gear! Did what Mythbusters couldn't!

  • @SpartanMk1 Not totally true, they did something like this with a taxi(?) a while ago.

  • @RobinMoviesOffical yeah but they couldn't make the car go anywhere

  • lol i love the lord of the rings music

  • i see on the dash in the video that only 2 engines were put to 100 throttle. The bottom one is N1 and the top is the actucal %. cool though

  • Can't see half of it because of that stupid ad banner at the bottom.

  • WHOOOAAAHHHH, KRYKIE!!!! O_O

  • @galisprayo

    lmao

  • That B747-400 has the GE CF6-80C2B5F engine with 62,000 lbs of thrust.

  • Amazing.... :D

  • hmm now where did i park my car

    ohhhh shit!!!

  • Try this test within ten in front of those engines. Disaster big time.

  • haha, funny, lord of the rings music

  • I heard "23 ft onions" at the start :D

  • It would nice to see the same test done again with a bike cyclist instead of a car :-D .

  • The Antonov 225 with all 6 engines combined equals to 600,000 pounds of thrust.

  • Wake up people there is now proof a 757 did not hit Pentagon. The taxi was over the plane and swerved when it was 40 feet above the taxi at full throttle.

  • Hippie Car! LOL!

  • Hey, I uploaded a new video from, a demonstration of the power that is generated by a jet engine. You should check it out :D

  • FUCKING HELL!!!

  • I like how they're only using 2 out of 4 engines..

  • He Is on the Canadian airways interior

  • I meant virgin atlantic

  • this seems like more of a Public Service Announcement to all ppl living near airport runways ;D

  • the virgin atlantic name was blured i thought if they were using there plane they should give them some credit

  • do you think "top gear" has rights for using "lord of the rings" OST in their videos??

  • @intwernet Of course they have rights. The BBC aren't idiots!

  • 1:27 Why are the pilots playing pacman off screen?

  • thats a warning sound man

  • @traineepilot57 Then why are the warning sounds lifted off of a video game. Because that just sounds ridiculous.

  • @AL52Dragon it just sounds like pacman but it isnt. i was suprised like you at first but i then realized its a warning tone.

  • The GE-90 is the most powerful jet engine. It gives out 115,000 pounds of thrust. It can do the same exact thing to a car double the size of these. That is amazing.Gotta love the jet engine.

  • listen carefully, LOTR soundtrack

  • @Jrink30

    I gotta?

    No, I don't.

  • @kenny1309 ha wow ur cool

  • @Jrink30 Hell, on mythbusters they did this w/ a bus on a 747.

  • @Jrink30 You're right pal.

If it was GE90-115B you'd never see the car. It would send it out in space:)

  • @Jrink30 I think you mean the GE-115 dude.

  • @freelynz What you mean is actually the most powerful version of the GE-90. The name of it is the GE90-115. So what I meant was actually the GE90-115, but that is assumed.

  • @Jrink30 The 747 can actually blow much larger and heavier objects than the cars in this video. I've seen it pick up buses off the ground and throw them like toys. As for the GE90-115B, even though it's rated for 115,000 lbs. of thrust, it actually holds the record at 127,900 lbs. of thrust. It's powerful enough to throw a locomotive off the tracks.

  • hehi am ready for some action any guys want to take the challenge?

  • LOL Virgin Atlantic 747-400 =D

  • heyacant seem to find a man who ill treat me like a princess

  • Poor 2cv

  • LOL imagine that with the A380: Trent 900's with 80,000 LBS thrust!

  • Or a 777-300er with 115,000

  • HOLY SHIT

  • Lord of the rings music! :D

  • With a A340 ??

  • I wonder how much did they pay for the cars?

  • @Maincontrol999 A lot, but probably not enough to throw a car, normally. It is highly compressed air, too.

  • poor hippie car

  • then what is the purpose of doing this?

  • Does it matter? :P

  • Virgin Atlantic ahaha

  • I know this may be a stupid question. But how many rpm's can one engine make with full power?

  • around 10 000 rpm i think. ive also read 15 000

rpm so its probly somewhere in between

  • That depends on the engine's size, jmella. the larger the diameter of the engine the slower it wil spin. The smaller, the faster.

  • Huracan winds

  • Think literally.

    50,000 lbs of thrust x 4 =232,000 lbs.

    A 3000lb car.

Hmmm it;s not rocket science is it.

  • @britgary u mean 58,000 x 4 = 232,000

  • You get my point though.

  • What they don't say in this epic display of popular science is, that they are not using all 4 engines but only the inner 2. You can see it at 1:30 on the display and at 2:23 where they use just 2 levers. The plane would probably begin to roll with it's break still engaged if they use all 4 engines.

    I hate such half-truths :/ .

  • @irrationalentity true i was actually gonna say that but then i saw ur comment, the pilot is actually using only the inner 2 engines.

  • the engines are up to 58 THOUSAND POUNDS OF TTHHRUUUUSTT!!

  • they should but a cessna behind it and see if it will fly

  • 3:21 pause!!!

  • They should use the boeing 777 dash 300 ER which is using the GE90's and a GE90 engine produses 115,000 pounds of takeoff thrust! almoust the dubble forse of the engines in this video! GE90 is the biggest and the most powerfull engine in the world!

  • They were using two engines here, thats 116,000 lbs. The 777 would not have been able to use both engines at take off power, so that would have been 115,000 lbs.

  • Comment removed

  • @AF401 True but if you missed it, the pilots only used full throttle on two of the engines (the inner ones). They left the two outer engines idle.

  • @majhankee Agree, but engines #1 and 4 weren't idle, they were off.

  • @magnernj5 I love the B777 and its massive engines :)

  • @magnernj5 That's the GE-115 dude.

  • @freelynz Yes I was talking about that engine and the full name of the engine is GE90-115.

  • @magnernj5 Actually, it's called the GE90-115B and even thought it's rated at 115,000 lbs. of thrust, it holds the record at 127,900 lbs. of thrust. It can pick up a locomotive and throw it like a toy. At over 2 million CFM, the air coming out of the back of it is almost unimaginable.

  • @jetengine7 Alright then

  • wow :-0

  • i think they should use a 777-300er because each engine has around 115,000 pounds of thrust

  • they should use the antonov 225, i bet it would destroy the runway, lol

  • they should try this with a german car! xd

  • the first one was slow

  • low cost mondeo airplane :D

  • that is dumb fist they dont show the airline then they show it.

  • what airline virgin atlantic.

  • i can stand behind the engine on my feet with fullpower and wont move an inch :D IM TOUGH, i can kick the plane to the moon yep

  • lol richard hamond!

  • hehe, like my fart :-)

  • That's a nice procedure to reduce all those stupid 2CVs!!

  • Can you imagine if all 4 were throttled up.

Btw the other day I read the the General electric CF6's had 63,300Lbs thrust not 58, 000.

  • the pratt whitney engine got 63. the ge got 62.

  • Yes you are right, I got it mixed up in my last comment, and the RR RB211 has 58.

  • i wish they do a test with a tank

  • the tank would almost meet the same fate...

  • if you look carefully, when it goes to 1:29 they only put the 2 inner engines on full power.

  • in case they put 4 of engines at full power the car would fly away for good:)

  • i wish they did a tank

  • i wish he tested oliver , richard would of been so funny!

  • Unbefuckinglievable

  • Hippie Car checklist: Before takeoff: 1. Make sure the 747-800 is at full throtle. 2. "step the pedal to the metal!" Hippie car: ok we are on our way! OH NOOOOO! TOO MUUCHH POOWEER!

  • fail.

  • Top Gear top tip, if you want to kill yourself drive behind a 747 at full throttle.

  • From "Top Gear". That's Richard Hammond.

  • wow..

  • At 2:19 - "Big engine, light weight hippie car." "This should be fun!" LOL a green(!) citroen 2cv. This is a very funny video, and educational too. It graphically demonstrates the power of those big jet turbines. Also politically incorrect as it pokes fun at hippies and at green hippies. On my favorites list.

  • what's the point of this?

  • hey thats the dude from this show called braniac on g4!!!!!!! he was the host thats super cool!!!!!!........but man i miss that show.......eh oh well gotta love the bbc

  • yep that's what happens if you drive behind an airplane with full engines

  • lol lord of the rings music

  • Wouaou, le "Petit Canard" Citroën ne sait pas voler ? Bizarre bizarre...

  • what about a bus

  • whatever

  • I sat about 5 meters behind the wing of a Jumbo on the way from London to Mexico City. ( inside the plane of course - ha ). I tell you what, when those engines open up,it is frightening !

  • no engine in the car

  • They should try someone running by with a parachute.

  • lol

  • wtf they blur out virgin logo like to half way then they show it?
