But if this movie really is shooting for realism, why would anyone who remotely practices the law let alone enforces it, let somebody like scorpion (the man best at what he does, killing people) just walk the streets? Trusting he will do what they want, find a sorcerer that he may not even cross paths with.

This is awsome. It's a REIMAGINING. Not all Mortal Kombat related things have to be the same. This is what Mortal Kombat would be like if it were real. Those situations are possible which makes it creative and well thought out. Even Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat, said that it was "incredibly well done" and that it was "a legitimate alternate universe Mortal Kombat". So all you haters should be happy. It's about time they made a GOOD Mortal Kombat movie. I hope it gets made.
