you did pretty good but your uniforms are a bit off im a Navy PO1 and your sergent is to young to be a sergent lol make him a pvt or cprl and hell fit the part better um your lt is a little young to im guessing your a bunck of kids playing around but good job work on the uniforms make them look better you paracuted in your not gonna have a clean uniform your gonna have mud from hitting the ground or be wet. better dialog and gruf it up and would be alot better need to have a shot sound.....

I'm an editor in "Hollywood," work on a studio lot; I've also directed projects for Dreamworks, Universal, Disney, etc. Yeah, this is rough "right now" but you know what? I did the SAME thing when I was your age. You're having fun. So what about the acting, your coverage is what I see that shows me that you'll do well in this field. A day later, they came back to shoot any survivors so no one could tell the story. Unfortunatley for them, someone did.

Snipers work in pairs of spotter and shooter, and they can move just as easily as you can. They're also generally posted as lookouts for company sized units. Then you factor in the fact that said sniper will often be cam'd up and in deep cover with a scope on his rifle. Your standard US Line infantryman with iron sights will be unable to see him, never mind hit him.

'Getting low' doesn't help either, just makes it easier for the sniper to shoot you because you can't move as fast. All you can do is get behind some solid cover and call in support, or retreat. However if you charge him, he can't kill all of you before you get to cover because he has a bolt action rifle.

Besides, an officer wouldn't be leading that unit anyway

In a real combat patrol, a unit of three men would be lead by a lance corporal. (A fighting patrol or a scouting unit would always have at least five to ten men in it)

Plus the M1 was proven by experts to be less accurate than the Kar-98, plus every fool and his dog knows when you're reloading it.

And then what... once you're in behind cover the sniper could just move and take you from a different angle, or his mate could take you in an ambush.

Your assumption that American officers wouldn't send thier troops forward to draw sniper fire is unjustified, because they did. It's standard operating procedure, right here in the fighting manual of the period that you'd send one man forward whilst providing covering fire and smoke.
