I'd suggest going to a doctor outside of the VA. And if THAT doctor tells you it's all in your head, find a doctor that will listen to you until you are heard.
It's common for any doc, VA or not, who can not puzzle out a disorder or put a name on it to get frustrated and blame the patient. I cannot tell you enough to keep trying. Also bring a friend with you on your appointments that will support you and be your advocate.

Unfortunately you have to see a regular MD first to get a refera to see a specialist. The main thing is to be persistant. Sometimes it takes many months and many doctors before people take you seriously and start figuring out which tests are really needed. Never take no for an answer. I've had friends who were truly sick that were told they were just depressed and given antidepressants! Do not take any drug without a diagnosis, otherwise it's just experimentation.

This is a very ignorant video, and a very ignorant comment group. He fails to mention that pre-deployment screening requires all soldiers to get dozens of shots, as well as when we come back. It's mandatory. There was dirty water in Iraq???? No fuckin kidding. I showered in it every day, and so did tens of thousands of others. It's common for any doc, VA or not, who can not puzzle out a disorder or put a name on it to get frustrated and blame the patient. I cannot tell you enough to keep trying. Also bring a friend with you on your appointments that will support you and be your advocate.

Unfortunately you have to see a regular MD first to get a refera to see a specialist. The main thing is to be persistant. Sometimes it takes many months and many doctors before people take you seriously and start figuring out which tests are really needed. Never take no for an answer. I've had friends who were truly sick that were told they were just depressed and given antidepressants! Do not take any drug without a diagnosis, otherwise it's just experimentation.

This is a very ignorant video, and a very ignorant comment group. He fails to mention that pre-deployment screening requires all soldiers to get dozens of shots, as well as when we come back. It's mandatory. There was dirty water in Iraq???? No fuckin kidding. I showered in it every day, and so did tens of thousands of others. A few exceptions, maybe, but generally we lived amongst rats, roaches, scorpions, diseased dogs, mortars, rockets, bombs etc. We're soldiers and we fuckin deal with it.

Part of the point of the video was to reveal a completely corrupt government contractor called Haliburton, (Cheney's company) who is one of the main profiteers of the war. They are given billion dollar no bid contracts, and steal the money and make soldiers sick. The point is not what you can take, but that US companies are guilty of stealing taxpayers money to make their own soldiers sick. And of course, our government blithely ignores it.

I've seen this documentary and it's inhuman what big bussness is doing to our men. If you watch it you will also see that these contractors have been put in harms way and some killed. You will also see that if a man wants to do laundry, Halliburton gets paid 99dollars per bag. If a troop wants to wash his own clothes himself he's told he's not allowed. I grew up in a home for children of US military and we were used as guinea pigs for all kinds of government testing. They'd line us up - group A, B, J,etc. for testing different products, toothpaste, mouthwash, vitamins, vaccines. They used DDT in our dorms for head lice.
For those of you who wish to keep your heads up your asses, you keep on supporting bush and the boys who have been destroying our country the past 7 years. I'll remember NOT to count on any of YOU to protect this country.

For the question below, cities put chlorine in water to kill anything in it. If you live in a city, there is chlorine in the water. Chlorine is helpful, not harmful.

The Constitution is the law of the Land. If you're a soldier, then you took an oath to uphold that Constitution. Spread democracy? What about supporting dictators with our tax money so that the big boys in Washington can get rich off of their investments in contracts? I've never suggested we should isolate. The argument of the historical documents being 'outdated' is like saying the Bible is outdated. If we were sticking to the Constitution, we would be FAR better off economically, etc.
