My 360 is a good boy. It never heats up and if it does I give it a break. Never ever had RRoD on my second xbox. It's been about a year maybe two.

Play it too much and it fucks up, don't and it works fine.

My Wii, which i got in 2007 abruptly started getting that "System Files Corrupted" jumbo last September, but thanks to the BootMii hack, I won't need to send it to Nintendo, wait and pay $80. Mine just crashed with the RROD :(

It actually worked for about 4 years though. It did start to randomly shut down with the 2 flashing lights. It supposedly means that it's overheating, but it would be after 2 minutes of turning on. I noticed an error message about it that was never there before too. Now I have the 3 lights. I tried the x-clamp fix, but it didn't work for me.Lucky for me that the new xbox came out just 1 week before this happened right? hmmm...

look at 1:26 all the vents are covered. try covering all you computers vents and see how long it will last. The Side vents, back and bottom are covered. That leaves the top ones to cool the whole console.

@SkooterBush 4 rings isn't bad from what i know...last time i checked that means you didn't plug in your AV cable thats what happened with me... 1 dash=minor hardware error,2 dashes=over heating, 3 dashes+major hard ware error, 4 dashes* a full ring*= AV cable is not plugged in correctly....(though i could be wrong)
