Anyway, I saw this movie even before I saw my first Disney movie, so it's very dear to my heart, and this musical scene is my all-time favourite. I thought the female pigeons were beautiful, and I was a bit disappointed when I couldn't find birds of matching pastel colours and fluffy forehead feathers in ornithology books. :]

I remember watching this as a kid , I would sit on our couch at our apartment and watch it. For some reason , this song used to make cry as a kid. I don't why , I guess it was the melody , plus the fact that Fievel was seperated from his parents. It always made me homesick. Man , I was a strange kid. I love this movie and this song, but i unfortunately found out the beginning of this melody is a rip off of Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 5 in Eb Major written in 1915.

it's the main theme of the finale movement, just much slower in the symphony version..

i recommend looking that up on youtube, it comes up about a minute and a half in
