Walkera sucks. Its a real bad Tx.

Devo 8 is too shiny in my opinion, I'd rather have matte instead of a cheesy looking mirror finish. It looks cheap and it'll just get all scratched up. I'd rather have a radio that looks functional like a piece of military hardware.

I just purchased a walkera v100d08 and it came with devention8 radio...can you make a video on flight simulators. i just cant get my pc to find the devo 8 they dont have any drivers as far as i can find?? and nobody realy talks about it..i got the fms sim and i even purchased another sim but pc wont find the radio.

Lucky you're a member of the lolipop guild there Ali, I'd swamp that devo 6. Bet even you'd have trouble if wearing gloves on a cold day.

I'm selling all my Walkera gear before the second hand prices crash due to all the newer stuff being incompatible.

Think I'll invest in a more flexible TX/RX system.

Why didn't Walkera give this TX a 28(&4)01(-3) mode to be backward compatible?

You've gotta have at least 4 of every TX that ever came out of the Walkera factory under your bed by now :) (though you prolly don't own a WK-2602).

Mind you humping it all down to the flying field must be a pain. I'm lucky enough to have 17 acres and a workshop bigger then your flat, so that little heli devil on my shoulder is tempting me into buying a big devo off you for my gassers.

I watched your review,

I don't fancy trying to fly a ,90 fuze from under a blanket, so I'll pass.

Got a 2801RX that does a fine job. I don't see a six point throttle/pitch curves being any advantage for bigger birds (nicro's yes) unless you can really fly the tail of 'em (but you'd not use a Walkera TX), and that's about the only real improved feature over a 2801-pro.

You can GIVE it to me if you want LOL. But be quick, it won't be long before you're not able to give these away.

What made you change your mind? In your review you said that you liked the radio. Well, except for the screen brightness, annoying beeps, and Walkera's strange marketing strategy.

@alishanmao Alishanmao, does this radio bind with walkera's 3in 1 xyz recievers that come with the UFLY and other helis they sell?? Instead of using the seperate reciever they sell with this radio? I'll buy this radio if it binds with my UFLY and my Cb180D..but Im not sure, and if not WALKERA is hurting themselves then..Will it also bind with the 500d01 heli, and the Devo 12 can you bind it to the flybarless system for the 500d01, I bet not huh?

Can you comment on the range of the Devo 6 please. I'm wondering if it's capable or decent range for my larger heli's and planes. The antenna looks pretty short so I was hoping you could let me know what you think. Also, does it have a Simulator port?

@drTsheikh well devo 6 possibly is just less than 800 meters. devo 8 claims to be 2km but I would never trust walkera electronics for more than 1km to be honest

i proberly wont get one cause i already have a sektrum DX8 and it has dsmX so no interference with other transmitters

this damn thing cannot control my previous lines of walkera helicopters and 2801pro receivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@DoctorBadVibez same as Devention 8. they are good radios but still we have to test them and see what others say about it after testing these. i think a number of people should test these radios first before anyone would actually like to invest into them

@xjet well Bruce you will watch in the second part of this video that there are only two types of models to select. Heli and plane :D so obviously they left the glider part out totally. I should have mentioned that in cons section

That shiny chrome front panel will be great when you're flying in strong sunlight (not applicable in China ;-) -- "ahh.. my eyes!"

@xjet I flew on a very sunny day, well it doesn't bother your eyes, but your fellow pilots might say, "I can't see shit" hahaha

Color LCDs always look crappy in sunlight. The Futaba 14MZ has its color LCD recessed into the case so as to at least provide a little shade. Transmitters don't need color LCDs, good monochrome ones offer much higher contrast under strong lighting anyway.

@xjet well bruce we do not have to worry about this issue, on this radio, under sunlight you can't see anything so lol we do not have to worry about color LCD being crappy. if you can't see anything, you can't do anything, why worry hahahaha. I personally like Futaba 10C monochrome. I can program everything with ease under sunlight.
