I liked this review, Nice computer, I have an ACER ASPIRE 5532 laptop, very nice...but i kind of laughed at the review too, when you couldn't tell what kind of battery you had and the caption popped up that told us what kind of battery it was, It looked like as if Mr Acer Aspire was telling you " Um, I came with a 6 cell battery sir, just thought I'd let you know."...LOL!!....but it was a nice review, thank you =)

There are multiple models of this one and I have been debating on which new netbook to get and this one catches my eye. My only thing is this one uses the Intel Core2 Solo ULV SU3500 Processor while the other model which is currently $50 more on amazon right now uses Intel Celeron SU2300 Processor. Now the SU3500 is 1.4ghz single core vs the SU2300 1.2ghz dual-core. I am just curious at that low if I would notice the difference really between the two?

The keyboard is a little bendy but is is great. I love this computer it is so great! It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium now which is amazing. I give this laptop 5 stars.

I have the AS1410 with the su2300 processor. Laptop loses 5% power per day when turned completely off! Latest bios, wake on LAN is off. Does yours also lose power when powered off?

No they cant. Not the netbooks with Atom 270 or 280; unless I'm missing something here and they've added something to it to make HD work.

I have the LT3103u but I am still considering buying this because of design and processor. The LT3103u is an adequate "netbook" even with a resource -hungry OS like Vista. The screen is nice but a little wash out. I use it for mostly web surfing, Office apps (word and powerpoint), YouTube and live Elluminate sessions (online class) and so far it has been able to keep uo with what I have been doing. I hope that helps in your decision.

BradLinder what happens is that microsoft consider a netbook from 8.9 inch to 10.1 inch so it is not a netbook it is a really small notebook so actually the aspire one with 11.6 inch is not a netbook

This isn't a review, it's just an unboxing video. I'll be testing the laptop over the next week or two and publishing a complete review on Liliputing. But the quick answer is that the Eee PC 1101HA gets better battery life and the Acer 1410 has a faster processor and is generally more responsive.

What is the battery life difference between the two? Would you say the extra performance in the Acer is worth the drop in battery life?

I haven't extensively tested the battery life yet, but Acer claims their battery is good for 6 hours, while Asus claims 11 hours of battery life. It's up to you to decide whether you value a faster processor or longer battery life higher.
