  • When the blood was sprinkled on the Ark on the day of atonement it was sprinkled on the East side of the Ark (Lev 16:14). We know that the Tabernacle faced west to east because the Bible states that the priest turned their backs from the Tabernacle entrance and worshipped the sun rising in the east (Ezekiel 8:16-18). Also, the staves were sticking out of the Most Holy into the Holy Place (I Kings 8:8) when the temple in Jerusalem was finished. That means the Ark was turned as in your animation.

  • AWESOME!!!!! More truth is being revealed from God! I like it that the Ark is turned correctly (West to East and not North to South as other Sanctuary diagrams show) and that it's the MOST accurate picture of the Ark of the Covenant!! God is soon to come. God bless you for posting this.

  • I'd always thought of the ark of the covenant as directly at the back of the holy of holies. Was it at the right side, though?

  • Exodus doesn't specify the placement and orientation of the ark in the holy of holies, but Isa 14:13 implies God's throne is "in the sides of the north," so this is the reason I placed the ark on the north side of the sanctuary. Jewish rabbinical tradition says the poles poked at the inner veil, thus why they are placed along the long sides of the ark and not the short sides, otherwise they would be a tripping hazard to the high priest.

  • Interesting. Thank you!

  • Nice!
