  • if you have clicked on dislike button on purpose then you must be an idiot

  • Eliso Virsaladze is Georgian!!!!!

  • Elisso Virsaladze is one of the best interpreters of Mozart !

  • A russian playing Mozart. And not just to show versatility. A rare combination.

this is first class Mozart playing.

  • @janvandoedelpuk she is not Russian, she is Georgian!

  • @lashaberi but russian pianoschool

  • La musica di Mozart è oro e la grande maestra russa Elisso Virsaladze la indora ancora di più.

  • @Pierinopasquotti she's not russian she is Georgian!

  • Totally amazing!

    Can't stop listening it.

  • Superior performance!

    Thanks to Truecrypt for uploading!

  • Transformed music making of the highest order, no?

  • Someone knows if the whole sonata existis? Where is this taken from?

  • Thank you so much for wonderful recording and the very interesting story. Respects from Georgia

  • What a wonderful interpretation. Thank you very much.

  • @ truecrypt

Apparently, I have been missing so much, thank you very much truecrypt for this intepretation new to me and also the details about the artist. I second beethoven4ever 's request: it would be nice to be able to listen, here, to more pieces by her... .

  • Dear Truecrypt, if you are still accepting "fan requests", may i please ask for more Virsaladze? Her simple and yet profound musicality is quite addictive.

    I hope all is well.

  • I'd love to but... you know - there are certain issues with contemporary performers. I'll see what we can do though... ;)

  • Thank you in advance.

  • When has this been recorded? Where? Do you have the whole sonata?

  • the greatest Georgian pianist. We all like and respect you. gmerti paravdes!

  • no, she is ONE of greatest pianists, the greatest georgian pianist is ALEXANDER KORSANTIA!!!!!

  • Dear yuldashevgiorgi,

Alexander (Sasha) Korsantia is a good pianist, but he is not even close to Eliso's level. BTW there are MANY superb Georgian pianists, f.e. Alexander Toradze, Eteri Andjaparidze, Eliso Bolkvadze - just to name a few. Korsantia is one of many excellent Georgian pianists, but Eliso Virsaladze is high above all others.

  • actually you are right. oh, and one question - you are living in france or in georgia?

  • For sure I'm not in Georgia... ;)

But I knew and know many Georgian pianists...

    Love Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Suchumi!

    სასიამოვნოა თქვენი გაცნობა!

  • ჩემთვისაც, ისე პიანისტი ხარ?

  • she is not russian. she is GEORGIAN!

look at her surname, read her biography!

  • It's not by chance that Virsaladze's Mozart was once called 'mystic'. She elaborates fantastically Mozart's minimalist yet transcendent music.

  • Wenn Mozart diese Interpretation gehört hätte, hätte personlich für die Frau Virsaladze komponiert :)

  • Bravissima!

  • I don't remember hearing a performance (of any piece) that highlights the work's architecture quite like this. really, an incredible salute to the form of this work!

  • Elisso said 3 or 4 ago, that she is still learning how to play Mozart...and she doesnot it yet, she has always so much respect for composers!!

    One of the best ever!!

  • Didi madlobt, batono Levan! ;)

  • Great job! It's the first time I hear rondo alla Turca played in moderato and it feels awesome. I'm proud she is from Georgia!:)

  • Yeah, the recording is just amazing!! She is grate.Glenn Gould plays is moderato also, check it out also. :)

  • I had the chance to hear her for a Mozart recital in Antwerp and it was exquisite, not any one taste fault, fresh, original.

This recordings suits me perfect ; the moderate tempo gives this piece a kind of noblesse that is lost with a fast tempo where it becomes a kind of joke, like a public critic of somebody ridiculous !

  • "If you want to achieve much, never hurry. You should feel as if you had all the time in the world. Only a free person has time for everything..."

Just quoting the words of her grandmother, and she sure takes all the time in this Mozart! I would like to hear her play in concert...

  • ...and you probably can! I understand she is teaching in München and still performing. Her Mozart and Schumann have always been *something*!

  • I tend to prefer faster interpretations, but this quotation was great, and Eliso here is at most respectable. Liked it very much.

  • she actually is very good. i heard her play Rach3 in recital and I have to say though im so sick of it i was tottally a gasp at her imagination

  • Well,I definitely don't feel that this compares with Yudina...BECAUSE...she believes that it's incorrect to use time in Mozart!

How sad,BUT...She certainly makes great use of articulative shadings & dynamics.I'd like to hear her playing this with Authentic

    performance practice.That would be something!

  • Je ne sais pas si Yudina fait mieux, mais ma chatte, Natalia Alexandrovna Walewska, est incomparable pour ce qui est du toucher.
