Hahaha these softies couldn't survive one day in Somalia. First they would get kidnapped....2nd their fingers would get mailed to their family...3rd no one would pay the ransom.
@SecularNumanist actually ended up watchin some of them..pretty interesting...anyway Mike's a good enough guy...just not well versed in the finer points of philosophy
Poverty is a very very real idea, it is the absence of resources that allow a real standard of living, freedom is an essential goal but individual freedom and freedom of property allows mass accumulation of wealth creating inequality and poverty unless it is properly regulated and redistributed
@Mrpaulbarnes We are descending into a hellish collapse because people have become more and more focused on the nonexistent. The nonexistence of wealth, provision, opportunity. Darkness does not exist there is only light. Poverty is the nonexistence of wealth and as such does not exist. As you say poverty is a very real IDEA. However it does not exist in reality. There is only wealth. We have become a nation of whiners. Poverty now means you don't have the latest technology.
The basic needs got to be covered for one to truly experience freedom. Funnily poverty is a fictional idea that doesn't actually exist, poverty is a word used to describe the victims of very anti-social people. A lot of people do not actually know what it means to live, they prefer to be slaves to a system that does not work. Boarders are just lines on a map to make it easier for the system to play us out against each other.
@Mrpaulbarnes In your context, freedom equates to power. When an anarchist speaks of freedom, it is in a context of ethics. Ethics do not apply to hunger, poverty, ignorance and disease, but only to how people regard each other's possessions. If a person is hungry, it is an ethically irrelevant state, though worthy of sympathy. However, if someone's means of acquiring food are deprived by another person, it is now an ethical consideration. Freedom is the absense of aggression.
Mike Mike Mike - we don't need the loud music building to a crescendo in the background. The voices and what they are saying is dramatic enough - without the distraction of the background. Apart from that this is an excellent video with so many different people stating their beliefs. Thank you once again.
