ok, to finish this argument, they actually wrote the song together, and have both recorded it on albums, and I agree with what @luckisevensofia said, who cares the songs AMAZING!!!
@Liiammm3 Actually, he's RIGHT. According to all music dot com, the composer is listed as Jack Johnson. I could not find any reliable sources that stated otherwise. SO, as much as I don't like wading into arguments online, unless you can link to a reliable source.....PWNED.
@BadlyBentPub On the Philadelphonic cover inside, it says written by G Love & Special Sauce. On a Limited Edition casette Jack Johnson recorded back in 2000, he specifically says, as quoted, "Here's a song my pal G Love wrote. I'll probably record it one day, but for now here's Rodeo Clowns". He also briefly mentioned something about it in the Melbourne concert in 2008, but I can't really remember.
@Liiammm3 not wanting to argue here, but wikipedia credits it as being Jack Johnsons song and was used on G-Loves CD. I'm no where near my Philadelphonic CD to check what you're saying... Just wanted to let you know what Wikipedia says
@Liiammm3 you are wrong, just look up who owns the rights to the lyrics, a lot easier way to get to the bottom of it, it said jack has owned the song since 1999,
@Liiammm3 well considering it says in countless interviews on you tube, that are obviosuly him, it says he wrote all of his songs on the album on and on.. oh not to mention jack johnson owns the song rights, i would belive that over some "limited edition" cassette you have
@Hutch32 The version off on On and On is better, I think. The acoustic intro is by fare more beautiful. And I can understand the lyrics, which really are the strength of the song, beyond the melody and percussion. If you haven't checked out the lyrics, Hutch, I recommend them. Best comment on the music industry out there, I think.
um ok

why does it matter who wrote it? the song is freaking amazing and that's all that matters.

It should probably be G Love and Jack Johnson... seeing as G Love wrote it and all.

@Liiammm3 no G Love did not write this, Jack Johnson did. Please get your facts right before you speak ignorance.
