Junior was a HUGE annoyance when he was working at OCC as far as he tardiness went. Here is my theory.With Junior there was hardly a day in which Jr and Sr weren't fighting about anything. When you're told how you're not going to successful, that you aren't talented, that you're only good and one thing...you're going to rebell and say to yourself, "you say i'm this, that and the other, I'll show you how i'm REALLY this that and the other". Now on his own, he's much more responsible. Thoughts?
When does the camera crew go over to the local H-D dealership to start a drama like OCC but with real bikes?
I loved this show for years just for the fighting but always thought the bikes were crap. A few were cool but then you hear things they say on camera like "well that's close enough" when cutting spacers or something like that and that should scare off anyone interested in doing business with them.
its all paul sr's fault. when paul sr was out drunk back in the day paul jr and mikey needed him but now its too late to teach them how to be men and responsible. all paul jr wants is his father to thank him for all the hard work he has done but all jr gets is his father's size 12 and his loud mouthing about his bike designs. but now here they are, jr and mikey are grown men, paul sr wants them be like him but its not going to happen so its over.
Articles of Incorporation list who as the owner? Senior or Jr? End of the day, that's all that counts in my opinion. My company uses my creativity and excellence, but I don't get to do as I please. Never go into business with family.

paul sr. got scared for a second when jr. picked up that chair. I know that's his father, but a part of me wanted him to throw the chair at his father and beat his face in with his fists. Paul Sr has a business to run and he's responsible for all his employees, even Paul Jr, and if Paul Jr doesn't come to work on time, when everyone else is expected to and does, then that's a problem. It sets a bad example and undoubtedly worries Paul Sr as to what will happen to the business if Paul Jr inherits it.
This is about work ethic and not getting lazy due to the OCC success. A split may have been best.

I would've fired my son too telling him don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. Then I'd tell him don't bother coming to family events until he apologizes to me and sides with common sense and not thinking he can get away with being the bosses' son. Paul Sr has a business to run and he's responsible for all his employees, even Paul Jr, and if Paul Jr doesn't come to work on time, when everyone else is expected to and does, then that's a problem. It sets a bad example and undoubtedly worries Paul Sr as to what will happen to the business if Paul Jr inherits it.
This is about work ethic and not getting lazy due to the OCC success. A split may have been best.

@BUCEnGAR I think you are correct. Although they both have issues that stem deeper than just this. They are both mirrors of each other and get in eachother's way. This is what happens when egos come into play. I believe Sr. needs to not take on so much and Jr. does need some modesty with his father. This is very rough to watch because lives are affected. I do believe a split may have been the best thing. I am in a family business and luckily we split b4 any craziness. Best thing we ever did.

All genius is flawed. Paul junior is terrible at time keeping yet his imagination when it comes to creating ground breaking designs for choppers more than makes up for it. Paul senior however doesn't realise how much he relies on his son. Paul junior deserves more respect from his father yet he should also respect his fathers timetable concerning work. If this is not "staged" then Paul Sr. is in the right. He is not only the employer but Paul Jr.'s father. There is a commandment called "Honor your father", ok? Nevertheless the 'drama' could be a strategy to keep the suspense and ratings going. Very interesting technical and social program I'd say. I prefer the respect for the authority at any rate.
