@wallpaperkilla Rather than seeing things in terms of truth or lies, it might be more beneficial to apply a different criteria to your thought selection. Practice choosing thoughts by how they make you FEEL. If a thought makes you feel bad, see if you can find a similar one that makes you feel a little better -constantly upgrade your thoughts to ones that FEEL better.
