5:54!!! Hilarious! Brian doesn't have the deep baritone sexy sound, even if it did, it doesn't fit him lol. I totally can't figure out why the Faunz isn't an important musical influence to this day. He absolutely influenced me... I mean, c'mon, what's not musical about his "EYYY" thing... Anyone think he was a pilot?
I think that is a pretty funny parody, but the only thing that disappointed me was the disrespect shown to Richard Manuel. He committed suicide influenced heavily by depression from drug and alcohol addiction, and i think portraying him that way was a little harsh.
I thought it was pretty awesome and KingHarvest just needs to relax. Guster is very self-depreciating, and it is an "homage" to The Band, yes -- as a promo for the new tribute album.
It is a great parody, shot wonderfully by the brilliant Yonkman, and I must say that i wish there was more.
It's not a "promo-in-disguise." The word "promo" is the very first word in the description.
And I also disagree about the video being in poor taste. You are right that Guster is no The Band. Not even close. But who is? They seem like a band that really likes The Band. What the dude says about Rick Danko and Richard Manuel at the end proves it to me.
I thought this video was in poor taste. This video cheaply takes advantage of The Band to glorify Guster, which wouldn't be problem if Guster's talent approached The Band, but we all know that's not true.
Great video!! I'm a huge fan of The Band.. The Last Waltz is the greatest concert film ever, and this is a close 2nd.... One question, why didn't you sing Don't Do It, like they did in the film? They didnt even sing this song on The Last Waltz
This song isn't 'Don't Do It' because the video is actually a promo-in-disguise of 429 Records' upcoming release of 'Endless Highway,' a The Band tribute album. 'This Wheel's on Fire' is Guster's contribution. Don't let this poor cover discourage potential buyers - the rest are rather palatable.
Absolutely Great!! I couldn't stop laughing. I'm a big fan of The Last Waltz and The Band and you really nailed it! I've got The Endless Highway CD on order. Can't wait.
I have the Last Waltz DVD sitting right here and i first i actually thought that's was i was watching wrongly tagged under guster...you guys did a good job...plus Wheel's on Fire = awesome song. The Band...and you you guys pretty much rule.
Well done!

I second the motion to recognize that KingHarvest is indeed a douchebag. :)

let me write a little message to kinghavest....
1.)guster isn't trying to glorify themselves...it's purely for humor and to promote a tribute cd
2.)you are a douche bag
