@doomsdaydarklings I ended up using almost the entire container for this project. If you were making smaller molds, you would be able to get more out of it.
@HarleyD161 Together, Part A and Part B form a silicone rubber mold. For their exact ingredients, you can go to the manufacturers website. These are not products which can be purchased at riteaid, they are very specific for mold making. Part A and Part B are kept separate until the time you want to make your mold, they remain in a somewhat liquid state. It is only once the two are combined that the curing process starts and will then result in a stable, yet flexible rubber mold.
@pakt40 Yes, water would work as well. Just make sure to completely dry your container and the item you will be molding before you pour your silicone rubber. Any leftover moisture will impact how your mold sets up and cures.
@AUNTIEJENN209 In order to make a mold for lettering or words, you will need to have some sort of physical letter object to start with, such as rubber stamps, block letters, metal punches, etc. Do you have such an item? If so, can you please describe for me what you have and what you are wanting to make? I will then try and recommend the best method for making it :)
Very nice demo tutorial Ms. Bean. I could see myself doing that because I decorate Bangles for my friends myself.
