dude i have that same phone for metro pcs and i bought a sandisk 8gb micro sd HC,and it fits in the phone but when i put it in it gives me this error---FAT32 format not supported,please reformat to the card with

FAT16,honsest idk wtf to think! i wasted my money and it doesnt work! how can i fix this? is your phone hacked to use 8gb,cause i dont mind listing to music!lol

This is lame. I have the z6m rokr and a 2 gig sandisk card. it meets all compatibility. ive tested one song, and the music player loads fine. then i tried 50 songs, still works. now i tried 250 or so, which is my entire library, and i get an indefinite loading screen. sigh

Does anyone know the full extent of the problems that the ROKR has when you use a card higher than 2 GB? Is it just that it can't tell you how much memory you have on there, or does it cause other lags, and glitches? Does it take forever to load when you open the music player? Can it even play all the songs?

The only real gripes I have about my Alltel Z6m is 1) No full html browser, but then again, I don't care that much. 2) My phone 'crashes' or 'freezes' and sometimes takes a few minutes to shutdown and restart. It only happens occassionally, but does. Then again, i am also wondering if it is due to the MicroSD card I have in it. It happens when SMSing with pictures etc.

Otherwise, I extremely enjoy the phone, and I want a good stereo bluetooth headset now.

Also, slow bluetooth file transfers.

The ROKR Z6M is still as good as any out there all have there pros and cons there is no perfect cell phone..... bey the way that was k.c and the sunshine band not bee gees...lol lol

Don't get the Q. I had that for a few months and it's not really worth it. The battery lasts half a day of no use so you have to charge it 2 times a day so it can go thru a day. II bought this phone and it should arrive in the mail tomorrow. Better be good :D

im gettin annoyed cuz wen i transfer my songs from the memory card to the phones storage and i try 2 set it as a ringtone it doesnt let me cuz the song is protected or w/e so does anybody know how 2 set the songs as a ringtone???

I cannot get my personal music to apply as a ringtone. No matter what I do, moving it to the phone, changing the format, whatever, it does not give me the option. On all of my sounds/music when I go to properties it says "Apply Possible: No" and for all the sounds that came on my phone it "Apply Possible: Yes." Does anyone know why this may be?

you won't be able to...motorola added new software that prevents using your own personal ringtones...You have to download them from axcess: I found this out by eventually calling Alltel and also contacting motorola. Only the older phones that dont have the updated software can. This I find to be a total rip off. If I knew this prior to getting this phone, I would have gotten something else.

THIS PHONE ROCKS!! im so glad i dont have to buy ring tones!! i just cut and make my own with my music!! ive got the rockafeller shank for my main ring

heres something else to do, if you play 3d pinball on winXP and kno where the sounds are, you can copy them and convert them to mp3 save them to your phone and use them for tones too!

I just got one of these phones today and im still trying to figure it out. But i put all my old ring tones in MP3 format on the SD card that I got with it. But when I go to change my ringtones its not showing up? Does anyone know how to do it? Is it even possible??

i had trouble too but a different problem. anyways.. i guess u posted your questions 2 weeks ago so if you haven't got it yet, you have to copy or move the song from the card and to the phone.

but b4 u do that (the built in memory SUCKS) so get an mp3 editor and cut down the songs to about 20 seconds the phone will only ring for about 20 seconds, so why do u deed the who song? this way you can fit more ring tones/songs on the phone

How does that work thou? I did the exact same thing and i still dont have the option has apply has a ringtone. The ringtone works and everything my buddy has the same thing works like brand new but mine still does not have that option

I want one of these to replace my current crap phone from Alltel, LG AX490, I'd love to see a few hacks for it make 8GB or more be fully supported. Does anyone know Alltel's policy for upgrading to a new phone when your current phone when you just signed a contract?

You can upgrade to the phone, but you'll have to pay full retail price for it instead of the new contract price.

oh yeah! I have an alltel MOTOROKR and it rocks! I just have to figure out how to put MP3 songs on it. Are they free?

its really easy!!! just hook up your phone to your pc with a usb cable and then you can go to my computer and open up the removable disk drive and then go to the music folder (its already made) and drag and drop you music in there from wherever you saved it like *limewire*(thats what i use) or *iTunes*

This one is through Alltel, so I suspect that if you don't have the same features it is because you are using a different carrier.
