In Japanese tournaments, Guy was voted the best character under Akuma. It was posted in the official SFA strategy guide.

I miss how attacks in this game actually hurt compared to later games. It's too bad that the majority of SF fans didn't really like the chain combo system. It was fun to be able to do things the computer would be able to do in SF2 that was kind of buggy (like Ryu's kneeling shorts that chained into a sweep, followed up by a Hadoken).

Miss this game.

Guy was indeed very strong with the chain combo system (that is how the Marvel VS series is played on the ground ironically). Well your typical noob players were asshurt toward accessibility so Capcom cut it out in Alpha 2 and 3.

This really is a good game and it has Alpha 3's air juggles also it'd be 11/10.
