I like the effort, but not the results. Here's some suggestions...
Get a tiny HD-capable videocamera, attach it as low on the bike as you can. Use a separate microphone to get incidental sound and be sure to windproof it. Since you're on a bicycle, the wide open streets that works in the original won't work here. You need more potential obstacles and such to highten the drama of the video.

You should have found some girl on the street, gone up and kissed her, got slapped. A little less romantic, a bit more realistic hehe.

no, it's not so common in europe (i really admire fixie-riders). mine is a foldable bike called birdy by riese&mueller. it's a perfect bike for travelling.
