Same way I would always do to snag the first goonie. My father and I would play this game and he beat it, after I went to sleep. 16 years ago atleast. Never saw the ending. I was like 10-11.
This was one of the earliest NES games I owned. Wow, I must have been....9 or 10? When I first got this game, I had never seen the movie. I didn't find out until 1989 when I FINALLY saw the movie that the music was Cyndi Lauper. Great game, great movie...wish I still had the game.
Close enough... the same person (Cindy Lauper) performed "Girls..." AND the Goonies theme! :D I love this NES rendition too... one of the best NES tunes, IMO (really shows what the system's audio can do).
This was always my favorite game with my favorite music. Best midi music ever created. I would even listen to it in my car if I could get it on CD the way Tommy Tallarico puts his game music on CD (the creator of the Earth Worm Jim soundtracks).
love the movie and that game. but there is one thing missing in those games..... that is sloth.

For some reason I thought this game was creepy when I was younger. Now I think I feel the same way, except for this song.

@voltaman33 Dude, this game scared the shit out of me as a kid as well.
It was the sound it made when you walked in a door and found something or of the like.
