In the part you mention at 419 here the tape is distorted slightly giving rise to suspicion to critics, but there are NO cuts,breaks, distortions or visible wires, very odd how they pulled this off IF they hoaxed it.....

just because you can't hear some one following the guy doesn't mean they're not there, or multiple people positioned around the place. too much awkward panning. in the first scene he's standing infront of a door. he pans all around the room, except behind him, walks out and then the door slams behind him, without a reaction from him. in the ghost room he pans around in 45 degree segments. the "ghost" happens to be in the last segment. with a little planning something like this is very doable.
EVERYONE! Go to 1:54 and turn the volume all the way up. At 1:56-1:58 you can hear voices that are illegible, but definitely there. It's not Mike whispering, it sounds more like multiple people whispering to each other.

Please tell me more, im interested as to where you got your information.

The truth is there's no way to know whether this is real or fake. If it's a hoax, it's certainly the best damn hoax I've ever seen. Their reactions are genuine and they lost their jobs because of the supposed haunting (they walked away from their job).
This is completely fake. I live here in Corpus and recently went on a guided ghost tour and they showed us that this is fake. These guys actually broke into this building. There is a police report that you can obtain downtown that proves this. The little girl you are seeing is actually a doll that was already in the building(used to be a bank). @khakain Well, the flip side is that this guy is a painter and not a ghost hunter, also this 'mike' guy is a bit of a gangster in his hometown, so although this hardman Hispanic 'mike' can probably stand up to a guy with a gun, Mike falls short of 'standing his ground' when he is face to face with an unknown entity?. Maybe Mikes emotions just simply got the better of him and thats why he kept running away and it confused him as to why he ran, so he kept going back to try again.

The fact that the' ghost' doesn't ever move and it looks like a blanket over a step ladder with a box on top (barely humanoid) doesn't really make this video seem genuine.

@SaosinEngaged good observation, i thought this too but, it can be explained, i would except an explanation if it was a recent film, but its on an old vhs recorded back in 2003, which would mean that these guys would have had computer knowledge and editing software and possibly some acting skills(all done in their painters uniforms) :) and many of his accomplices keeping quiet for around,..ooh,..nearly 9 years...?
If you really watch all the film, it just raises more questions than answers..:)

@bigcitydreams34 Hehehe :), The owner of the Smith building is called MR Tracy Long and is listed under Long Properties, the given name for the then named 'Smith building' was/is called 'Le Retama Vista', but 'some' of what you say is true, the owner did in fact hire many workers who seemingly quit without pay and this was brought up by a housing inspector who commented on why the renovations took so long to complete. Please tell me more, im interested as to where you got your information.

To the people saying this is fake: You're just blubbering your opinion. You have no evidence to support the video's authenticity or lack thereof.
The truth is there's no way to know whether this is real or fake. If it's a hoax, it's certainly the best damn hoax I've ever seen. Their reactions are genuine and they lost their jobs because of the supposed haunting (they walked away from their job).

This is completely fake. I live here in Corpus and recently went on a guided ghost tour and they showed us that this is fake. These guys actually broke into this building. There is a police report that you can obtain downtown that proves this. The little girl you are seeing is actually a doll that was already in the building(used to be a bank). Thats why it stays the same damn spot 3 times. FAKE

and the reason the cameraman is the only one whos bothered is cos his the only one seeing it :)

@khakain Well, the flip side is that this guy is a painter and not a ghost hunter, also this 'mike' guy is a bit of a gangster in his hometown, so although this hardman Hispanic 'mike' can probably stand up to a guy with a gun, Mike falls short of 'standing his ground' when he is face to face with an unknown entity?. Maybe Mikes emotions just simply got the better of him and thats why he kept running away and it confused him as to why he ran, so he kept going back to try again.

@Epsilonic yes they are, but how do you explain two doors shutting together in a split second when the guy has just panned the camera around the whole area? also, how do you explain a very loud evp when you can hear the cameramans breath over the top of the evp?, given what is going on in the film, its possible the cameraman could have staged some of the events but not all, but its possible.

That would show that there is for sure more than two people in the building. The fact that you are even trying to defend this as real is laughable. Pathetic attempt is pathetic.
