Did You Record This Yourself With Audacity Or Did You Use A Program To Make All Of The Notes. Im Really Curious, I Have Been Trying To Make Music For Some Time Now But I Dont Have Anything To Record With And Every Program I Find Has Only MIDI Noises Can You Help Me?
Thanks Sean! I used Reason by Propellerheads. It's a virtual music studio but you also need a midi keyboard (sometimes called midi Controllers), I use M-Audios Evolution keyboard. Software was from a friend and came with some Soundbanks, basically collections of instrument sample type files that you use (usually called Patches). I have the Reason Factory Soundbank & Orkestra Soundbank. Software is bit pricey, if you can get a copy all the better, all you need is the keyboard. Hope this helps!;)
dude you really should copyright it. if someone tries and claims it then you're pretty much sorted cos something this good is bound to get copied or stolen. this sounds brilliant!
Thanks mate! Thing is I haven't got a clue about copyrighting anything, so I wouldn't know where to start. Any advice would be great. Great channel btw;)
to copyright it just save the project file and the mp3 on a disc and mail it to yourself, then never open it unless u need to prove the copyright, the postal date stamp acts as copyright xD ps:check out my vids
@Hopjumpskip burn the project and mp3 to a cd and mail it to yourself, then don't open it unless proving the copyright (the postal date stamp acts as copyright)
A cost effective way of copyrighting your matirial is to score it out on paper and post it to yourself. dont open the seal and it is a package then with the date on it. that way u can proove it was composed at that date ect ect...
@Hopjumpskip Hey I know this is a really late answer to your question lol but the thing is, once you make something, the copyright immediately is owned by you. So you are the rightful owner right now unless you give someone that copyright, like you give them permission to use it, or you sell them the song with all the rights so that only they can use it and do watever they want with it etc
Hi there man, can you please point me in the direction of where you found "Violins MF Lit", have looked to no avail and am really looking to create the same kind of sound you have!
Response much appreciated as I am so keen to get started!
Hey D, I got a "copy" of Reason from a "mate", it came with Refills (sound samples used in Reason): Factory Sound Bank & Orkestra. If you bought a legal copy it probably came with some samples or you might be able to download these free from the Reason site...it might come under "Strings".
Hey, if no luck there I might be really nice and try and send you a copy. Hope this helps!;-P
ahh! wat can I say, thanx so much for the comments. This gives me the kick I need to do more! Soul and depth of feeling is indeed what I wanted to convey. ;)
Good job. Reminds me of Micheal Nyman (The Piano) or Cliff Martinez (Solaris)...photo is Winston Smith ? I use FLstudio, Reason too steep learning curve 4 me, yikes.
Thanx! I just recently got a hold of a copy of Solaris - Awesome soundtrack. Photo is John Hurt in the film '1984'. Hey, I know only a few operations on Reason that I learnt from my bro, and I ended up with this music - you can do quite a lot with a little knowledge! Thanx again, to be compared with Nyman & Martinez is a real compliment! ;)
Wow...I've just listened to some clips on i-tunes. Thank you Chris for the suggestion. The composers are Marcelo Zarvos & Peter Vronsky. From what I've heard it sounds absolutely beautiful...unfortunately I can't get it on i-tunes UK :(
Sweet music, man. FOR SURE! What keyboard are you using? I love the strings. The other track of yours, Organ Break Scene, I really enjoyed that too! I'm curious what it would sound like with the organ put over the strings...
Thanx so much Chris! I play a M-Audio Evolution Midi Controller 49 keyboard, it has a sustain plug (I haven't got round to buying a pedal yet) and velocity sensitive keys etc. It was around £129. Hey, I'll try putting the strings over the organ...see what happens. Can't for more stuff from you, I'll be checking back from time to time. xxx:)
tar ;-), I haven't listened to that soundtrack for time...but it's one of my favourite of nymans...btw where is the old kent road? why does that sound so familiar?
Wow! For someone who claims they don't know much this is awesome. I can really see this used in a film...gives me goose bumps! I love Thomas New man too! ;)
Thanx so much hardedged! I saw the film Monsters Ball a few days after I composed this, but I wouldn't say it was specifically made for that film - It just happens like that - I just wanted to capture a mood.:)xx

I had my jaws falling.
Seriously.
It's just impressive, the piano and the strings wonderfully go together... and that part from 1:50 is breathtaking... really, really emotional!
The whole piece is a crescendo, that sounds like... a roaring river running to the sea!
5* of rating... and I'm adding this composition of yours to my favorites.
Thank you for sharing! ^_^
