Actually, you'd be travelling in the atmosphere, burning up too much fuel. In space, you only need 1 push to get going until you're in the moon's orbit.

I haven't read all the comments and I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but it's funny to see a full moon at 3:53 in the middle of the day. Anyone who had the opportunity to see the launch and first landing on the moon knows it was about a quarter full when the astronauts landed. This would give them the benefits of shadows on the lunar surface. I enjoyed this video because it brings back memories of staying up all night in front of the TV for this historic moment.

@lukeskywalkerlol If I remember correctly, the liquid fuel rockets often don't have smoke, and that is usually only for solid fuel rockets.

I may be wrong in this case, but the SRB's are the things that make the most smoke, like in the Space Shuttle launches.
