I just saw the video of your classical guitar transcription of Firth of Frith. This transcription is right on the money and perfectly executed. Oh yeah, you can probably get drums and the lazer beam cheap on Ebay! Haha! I learned this a long time ago, played most of it five positions higher, and unfortunately long forgotten it. Thanks for doing this!
FELICIDADES!!!!! Es una maravilla la transcripción a guitarra y la hermosa ejecución. Cuando escucho algo como lo que hiciste, creo que el mundo tiene sentido desde su origen. Un fuerte abrazo!
Bravo! I was expecting some fuzzed out shredder take on this but instead got some cleanly played picking and strumming that displayed the beauty of the SONG itself! Take a bow! Great stuff!
wow i clicked on this video expecting you too be abit of a pompous douche (just because people that translate keyboard solos too guitar normally are) but you did it brilliantly you made it sound right and did a really good job
esta increible realmente genial buenisimo lo del efecto estereo y lo de la repeticion genial ( ademas de la increible interpretacion por supuesto ;)*****
that's one badass looking box. :D imagine somebody working out the keyboard solo for guitar! but you did it, brother. excellent. groovy stereo tricks too.
ahhhhhhh !!! great great job alex..!! if only i had little more spare time i'd add the drums track with my roland but currently it's almost impossible to me..maybe in the future!! :-).. the new toy is the guitar or the effect?
Grazie Sandro. The toy is the guitar, but I wanted to play this live through a specific guitar effects processor software. I couldn't configure the thing properly on my system so the effects had to be done on "post-production" with the usual audio editor (not really the sound I was hoping for). Anyway, I'll try to work on that for next videos.
Haha!!!!!!!!!!!! That was brilliant, Hyp!!!!!!!!! Loved it so much. I'm favoriting this one. Great job, more Genesis!!!!!! I've gotta watch this again!
Hehe, thanks man. I was expecting you would upload this some day. Perhaps there's still hope for a future project of yours with the whole epic. Glad you liked the video Chris. Take care.
Oh cool! I get to be the first to comment on this! One of my favorite pieces of music of ALL times here. Great job Alex and nice Parker guitar! Can't imagine learning this on guitar... whew...

It sound very, very nice, but I'm pretty sure the first chord (at 0:29) should have been a minor, not a major???

Awesome cover. But I'd prefer to hear it on a distorted guitar.

this is so awesome, you've probably been asked this a bunch of times but what kind of guitar is that? It's pretty sexy
xberserkx 2 years ago
Hi, it's a Parker P-42. Cool design, it reminds of those eccentric guitars that Prince used to play back in the 80's.

excellent playing Alex certainly would not expect to see that part played on a guitar
the compressed quelching is a mp3 flaw on this site wav files seem to do better but they are very large maybe one day they will fix the problem
centralscrutinizer9 2 years ago
Hey Russell, thanks so much. That compression is really a downer, I'll have to try to upload in .wav even if it takes so long.
Thanks for the tip.
