  • RIP GARY!

  • From Grinding stone 74 i think

  • From Grinding stone 74 i think

  • The sometimes poor sync during the drum solo makes it look like it's playback!

  • Murio uno de mis idolos :( Uno de los guitarristas con mas felling en toda la historia!

  • R.I.P. Gary

  • Neil Murray is rocking hard on bass!

  • @IncorrutibleTruth:

The Blues is (from) Jazz. So I guess BB does play Jazz. Ginger Baker claims Cream was a Jazz band

  • como se llama el baterista? gracias :) im learning..

  • @Femeninefolly Es Ian Paice, de Deep Purple

  • @Barleyman70 Gracias muy amable!

  • i think he is king of guitar

  • This is harder than jazz, its fusion of best quality! I know everything of moore, he's the best! Ok, if you think that he's not the best, or you dont know his career or lets finish and agree that he's one of the best of all times haha

  • this is not jazz mate

  • Moore, Paice, Airey and Murray, perfect!!!

  • Sounds like Billy Cobham and Tommy Bolin.........

  • listen to Garys early 70`s album "grinding stone" there are fusion tunes on it

  • it's a cool performance but this is not Jazz .. (I love Gary Moore btw)

  • Never heard this before! Thanks for posting!!!

  • Is that Neil Murray on bass there?

  • very Jeff Beckish .... it was popular thing back then .. Major scale riffing in a *fusion* marshall thang.

  • Marvelous,5*****!

  • No one can play like my hero Gary Moore. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • check out Jeff Beck then

  • Nice Fusion.

  • who can define jazz

  • more complex form of the blues?

  • Ian Paice, it don't get much better than that!

  • Great clip! But, not exactly jazz. And I love Gary's playing, but this is more in the wankery field than anything else. A real jazz standard may over a hundred different chord changes in it. This doesn't come close. I read somewhere he was thinking of doing some real jazz. Now THAT would be intersting!

Wonder if Gary could play improv melodies over a hundred different chords? hmmm..that would put in the Joe Pass league, wouldn't it? Until we see that, he's just a great rock/blues guy.

  • I agree with you 100%. Someone gave you a negative rating for your comment but that is laughable because whoever would do that probably thinks BB King is a Jazz musician. This is good stuff, but it still isn't jazz. It isn't fusion. You could call it fast blues but what it really is is basic 80's metal guitar. Not because of distortion but because of this notation.

  • @IncorruptibleTruth

you are totaly wrong this is jazz rock fusion

  • paicey!!!!

  • イアン・ペイス~~~~~!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

this was an outrageous video, in a good way. loved the guitar/keyboard interaction. as noted gary wasn't always playing through the changes but damn this is a good jam.

  • sounds like the groove on the billy cobham spectrum album....

  • NOT jazz.

Its fusion, ala Jeff Beck of that era. Even has a bit of the "call and answer" exchange kind of stuff JB and Jan used to do at the time.

I enjoyed it.Nice playing, though he's not playing through the changes.

  • cool!

  • I name it: tetris-fusion.

..and by that a pretty good piece of it.

  • He is a real genius. My all time favourite.

But the title is wrong: this song has nothing to do with jazz

  • It's fusion, which is JAZZ-rock. This song is very reminiscent of Billy Cobham's "Quadrant IV."

  • This is the Real Gary Moore that I remember.

  • Uff!! Moore, Paice, Airey, Murray...Awesome!!!!
