  • Excellent Video, That was some capture ....And the fact there was no stupid Music makes it even better

  • did not know what was allowed, he felt it needed a distance of 1,500 meters between a runway and the other for simultaneous operations

  • Excellent capture enjoyed watching this, nice one for keeping up with the USAirways

  • muito legal o video

  • So who won?

  • Such a vid this. Never seen parallel takeoff before

  • awesome

  • Until we meet again my love......goodbye 0:20

  • I remember doing one parallel landing back at Sky Harbor on Southwest with an America West 737. Parallel take off, never seen it

  • seems like a drag race

  • @bobduvar couldn't tell it was going so fast

  • Cool! But one time we were flying in to London over France and an a320 flew about 200m over our aircraft in the opposite direction it was so awesome but mega scary

  • @newyork68100 an Air France one surely.... was it ?

  • damn thats fckin cool i fly as ppl and the redundancy of friking safety with atc traffic is unbelievably strict but this, just makes me go wtf this is allowed?? cool anyhow this is how planes should take off

  • awesome video!

  • Looks like a Couple leave for their respective work at the same time, Bye honey .. see you in the evening

  • great. now parallel park it

  • Takeoff from 10R?

  • @rossiya110

VRD departed 1R..AWE departed off the Left side.

  • Incredibly nice video!!

  • I see Yo dawg -joke material right here...

  • June, 2009: Same airport, same runways. I was on United A320, Runway 1L, another United A320 was on Runway 1R. We were both cleared at the same time, both started rolling, both crossed 28L/R with planes incoming, both rotated, lifted and climbed out. We separated over Oakland; other plane went straight, mine hooked 270 to the left, over the SFO VOR and on to Phoenix.

  • Somebody can explain me why in Mexico city we can´t watch this!?

  • awesome!

  • i love sfo

  • If they turn cross like 319 turns right and this plane left at same alttitude omg

  • been there.. done that.. it's fun to watch the other plane!! :)

  • Wow awesome

  • Wow fucking awesome

  • This is the most sexual, amazing thing I've ever seen. This video gave me a boner.

  • Great

  • BUT HOPEFULLY SAFETLY TAKING OFF AND LANDING (:-I

  • FIRST JET TO TAKE OFF WINS :) its like an air race

  • very naci tube

  • Whoa.

  • Never seen two planes take off at the same time xD

  • US pilot: Hey no fair you got a head start!

VA pilot: No, I just have a lighter load.

US pilot: You may have a lighter load, but my plane is faster!

  • This was a great video..never seen anything like it before, parallel take-off so awesome, good on ya mate.

  • kool

  • Thats AWESOME!! :D

  • lol soo cool, atc knows what there doin i see lol

  • super cool and I think not legal...

  • What a money shot, uploader. If those guys from sound system 009 come knocking your way offering money to use their song in your vid - just tell them NO. Because after a quarter of a million view, they surely will try to get their shit in your video.

  • WOOOOOOW, but this situations are very unsafe. In germany it's not allowed

  • Is it was a tail strike? 0:08

  • The Co-Pilot on the US AIR probably didn't look at his instruments on take off :P

  • Coupla loop'da'loops and we have an airshow going.

  • this is soooo fucking cool!!

  • This is so cool!

  • it's a drag

  • who win the race?? haha.. absolutely you

  • this is so amazing! I have been once to SFO but haven`t been so lucky to witness such beauty...

  • can't stop watching this vid! truly amazing!!

  • Very cool

  • I have seen a 747 land at the same time as a 737 takeoff at oakland int. that's what i meted to say

  • but never this

  • I have seen a 747 land at the same time as a 737 takeoff

  • Woww lookss amazing

  • The pilots were probably like "I CAN SEE UUUUU!!!!!!!

  • You are amazing!

  • Cool vid, and the lack of needless narration made it even better.

  • That was wicked!

  • @efastMixer is what allowed?

  • Very quick thinking to catch this on video.

  • Very cool! Never seen before!

  • Who flies Virgin America

  • @simpsonstewie Southwest must be better. Nice video though

  • Comment removed

  • is that allowed?

  • fake and gay, this is off flight simulator

  • @Elbastardo117 So... you can't tell the difference between what fake and what's real...?

  • @Elbastardo117 You're a retard. This is real.

  • @Elbastardo117 You're fake and gay.

  • Great footage

  • Nossa que show decolaram paralelos, q linda imagem

  • That is simply the coolest shit on earth.

    Great footage.

  • the first ever airplane drag race lol

  • @ZLinerz No Boeing aircraft in this video. Cant tell exactly but I believe the Cactus bird is an A320 and the OP says they are on an A319

  • thts awesome!!!

  • That's quite a good video, would feel a bit nervous being in such close proximity to another airliner but good video.

  • The boeing wins!

  • very nice

  • thats epic!!

  • seems like they were racing and then all of a sudden, "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain for this flight and FYI WE WON...!!!"

  • Great Vid!!!

  • If only their flight paths had crossed.

  • @legoSWbuilder with u in one

  • I'm surprised this isn't putting the FAA on high alert!!!

  • @dingdongditch1000 why would it? the airport is designed to meet FAA reqiurements

  • @dingdongditch1000 Why should it? The horizontal separation is at least a completely safe 1500ft at rotation and the two planes turn away from each other immediately after takeoff.

  • @dingdongditch1000 Several airports around the country are approved for close parallel ops, pilots and controllers alike are specially certified to meet specific requirements. Nothing unusual here, but still cool!

  • Great video!

  • WOW! really great!!

  • This is why I love KSFO KLAX and KORD. What a view!!

  • AWESOME! :D

  • This is beautiful!

  • wow. drag race!

  • To tickle2012, filming during take-off is..

  • us airways beat virgin at speed

  • @TheYay1995 LOL It's the pilot's decision of speed they're both a319/20s

  • awesome take of this video..... superb

  • Can someone correct me if I am wrong...is simutaneous takeoff legal inthe states? I thought it's not legal in Canada......

  • I love this vid!

  • only at SFO, you dont see that every day.

  • Scandinavia airlines or watt airline

    Sorry for the bad English

  • @airbusa380andsas virgin america. SAS doesn't have aircraft like A320's in SFO.

  • Traffic! Traffic! Traffic!

  • Wouldnt ya hate it if one of the pilots turned the wrong way!!! Hahah

  • @kiereniskwl no if both the pilots commited the mistake then only....

  • Cool!

  • sfo is a great airport. the united airlines brasilia that our plane took off with parallel to was damn sexy too!

  • @123rushfan1 hahahahah I agree!

  • @BurninC4rtrage Well it would need to decelerate damn quickly, hitting a mountain would do that and the last thing I would care about is a camera flying through the air

  • I sat in a hotel bar watching these parallel takeoffs and landings at SFO..was transfixed by it. Great video!

  • The pilots were probably talking on the radios.

  • Reminds me of onboard videos from the Blue Angels.

  • It took longer for the airbus to get in the air lol

  • This is so awesome, i have never seen anything like this!!!

  • Bom video esse seu !!! see my videos Ney8666 3, and leave your comment Ney-Rio de Janeiro - Brazil

  • @ beeroostern - i hope you dont plan on parallel driving or parallel walk in the mall. your just over nervous about the whole thing. if this scares you so much then dont fly and from now on i hope im not driving next to you on the road.

  • The two pilots were friends and they wanted to drag race :P

  • If camcorders were a bad thing, Al-Queda wouldn't have such a difficult time crashing airplanes into the ground...

  • V Good vid - not seen this dual take off scenario before! - I fly at least twice a week & I know dozens of pilots and the electrical stuff is just bullshit! - Ever tried to get a signal at 10,000ft! duh!..

  • @choffle33 Not to mention you're traveling 400+ MPH. Most of the Europe to North America flights are having Wi-Fi on the planes now. People always worry.

  • @Streetracingpunk72 yeah v true - I take short hops round the GCC all the time and Arabs and Indians take no notice of switching of their phones, they are often ringing and texting till they lose signal. My girlfriend is a purser for Emirates and she has more problems stopping people getting amerous in Business and First!

  • That's awesome to see!

  • cool

  • People, I have recorded many take offs and landings and never once was it any trouble to the flight crew. I have had flight attendents ask me to turn it off, and then say nevermind when they see its a camcorder!

  • That was awesome........Thanks.

  • its not right for 2 planes to do a parallel takeoff!!!, mistake people make in this airport..

  • @CaNxYoUxStoP this is normal and this happens only in good weather. If there's any wind, they don't do it cheeer

  • @CaNxYoUxStoP It's a completely regular procedure. You are the mistake here....

  • @catrachocolo dont you thinkk i know thatt..ive been there lots of timesss.....IS THE MISTAKE THEY MADE BY CREATING THIS KIND OF TAKEOFFS AND APPROACHESSSS....

  • Like Tilan123 said, wouldn't it be really cool if another person in that other plane made a video and uploaded it on YouTube? :P

  • Great video mate,loved it.

  • super video!!

  • WOW, that's planes racing! xD

  • wow....I didn`t know they do this. I thought one runway was arrivals and the other departures.

  • Awesome clip!!! One of a kind!

  • @alivewithpassion Madrid Barajas do this regularly too.

  • Pretty rare to see such footage probably some of the last footage of such an event occuring, I work at the mec tower at Denver international airport. With our new flight path's and regulations aircraft flying so close won't happen much anymore. Nice vid

  • gah! if a guy in the other plane took a video!

  • I wonder if there was anyone in the other plane taking a vid of your plane :P

  • very very awesome shot and view bro fenomenal shit !!

  • maybe in cockpit was a voice saying: TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC

  • awsum shot bro...thnks 4 sharin...

  • great video..just fantastic to see 2 planes take off simultaneously..but isnt it a bit dangerous to take off like that..what if one of the planes make a wrong turn by mistake..

  • I have never seen a parallell take-off, but I have seen a parallell landing a couple of times. I always sit and stare out the window in planes. : )

  • Captains talking, lets race who reach 5000 feet first :)

  • the another plane save the landing gears too late, somes planes save the landing gears more or less 8 seconds as so much after take off

  • The plane did not crash, no camcorders were harmed in the making of this clip. Get over yourselves health and safety nazis and just enjoy the damned video. After the video you can go tell someone their cup of coffee is slightly too warm and get all wound up about it instead.

  • @moomoo1337 maybe, but i know i wouldnt allow it in my aircraft

  • @3IDLukeK It's just so the crew has the PAX full attention during the 'critical' stages of flight. I wouldn't worry too much.

  • @mgardiner2725 actually its so when you hit wake turbulance your camcorder doesnt turn into a projectile

  • @3IDLukeK If that was the case, they would be banned during all stages of flight which they are not. Turbulence of any sort can turn the camcorder into a projectile...so that can't be right.

  • @mgardiner2725 It is... you dont get wake turbulance at 40000 feet... you get it close to the airport from all the "heavy" airplane making WAKE turbulance, eg. takeoff/landing

  • You don't realize how fast a plane is going when you're sitting in it o.o holy crap

  • You should've gone, SUCKERS! I'm on Virgin America Living it up, while you're on US Air!!!

  • You may not use any electronic device on any aircraft that is being operated under instrument flight rules (IFR), or on any commercial flight. However, the following are permitted:* Portable voice recorders * Hearing aids* Heart pacemakers* Electronic shavers Radios

  • @unonano the funny thing is that pilots make cockpit videos.Tell them what you told everbody here since you know so much.I bet your comment is a safety announcement :))))

  • @piromoretta Friends, go to FAA site and you can see the reasons why during take off and landing its not a good idea to add additional elect. devices then already what an aircraft is operating. With fly by wire tech. in place in most of the modern aircraft, we need to be responsible enough to not to play around with technical limitations. Any way, its upto you to be responsible or not after all you are inside the plane. Wish you safe landings and God bless other innocent passenger.

  • kind of fighterjets? XD

  • I didn't know this was allowed. These runways are just 700 feet from each other

  • I don't like this one damned bit. Why would a controller send off two planes at the same time? It invites disaster if one the pilots becomes confused and turns the wrong way after takeoff. Formation flying (which is really what this parallel takeoff is) is one of the most hazardous modes of flying and has led to death even with very experienced pilots. Wait 30 seconds before sending the next plane down the runway, Mr. Controller. There - nice and safe...

  • @beeroosterm Why wouldn't a controller do this, this happens at every major airport everyday. The pilots aren't going to turn into each other and this nothing like the formation flying done by groups like the Blue Angels.

  • @statefan Yeah, yeah, yeah...fine. Why not do three, or four? How about quad landings? I don't like it because it's risky.

  • @statefan Those looking to criticize my wisdom are obviously inexperienced in such matters. For the most recent example of why this is a dangerous practice, try looking at the near-miss on September 16 at Minneapolis-St. Paul between a US Airways Airbus 320 and a small cargo plane. From Fran Golden, who wrote an article on the incident:

"After takeoff, the tower directed the US Airways plane to turn left and head west. The cargo plane was also supposed to turn but didn't."
