Why oh why did this album not absolutely soar? The explanation I get from people in the business was the awful album cover, in which Debbie fans got a sullen looking, colorless girl as compared to the lively, bright right-there image on "Electric Youth." It was a move to get her onto an adult career but terribly timed. Her mother has said neither she nor Debbie though the cover was a wise decision, but Atlantic insisted on it. If so, the label got its way but the artist paid a big price.
