I have african american hair and I do cut my hair at this salon where the barbers don't have any experience cutting my hair type. It's the only barbershop around. I pay 20 bucks each time and get a crappy haircut in return. The haircut I got yesterday was so bad that I went to walmart right after and got myself a clipper. I tried fixing the edge up but ended up messing it up more. I wish I saw this video before attempting it. I know my next time will be better. Thanks for the tutorial!

@Orlandorod409 you cant make your hair stop growing since its natural, the best you can do is cut it as soon as it grows too much.

@Orlandorod409 you might be pushing your line to far back. Try to edge just at the end of your natural hair line.

If that's not the problem, then it's just cause your hair grows back fast. If you line up with a trimmer and a straight razor like in this vid, that'll make you line stay a little longer.

@TheHazcam Nah, he's not using a standard clipper. He's using hair trimmers which work better for edge ups because they use smaller blades and finer teeth. I can't tell 100% what kind of trimmers they are, but they look like they're probably an Andis trimmer.
