Well I have some news for you.I have S A D and I researched the Webb to see if it might help me.On many sites I was told that up to 8,000 IU was safe.Well just ask my stomach and bowels. After 3 weeks at 7,000 IU I am having the worst diarrhea and stomach pain that I ever have had in my life.I do not have the flu.I have been vaccinated against seasonal and H!N1.
There is considerable evidence that up to 50,000 IU per day of vitamin D3 is safe as long as you aren't taking supplemental calcium at the same time. Are you sure you're taking a quality product? The manufacturer of a product is definitely something to investigate. There are many supplements out there that are of poor quality, may contain ingredients not listed on the label, and/or actually NOT even contain any the labeled ingredient!
I am taking 50 000IU daily for 4 months and there is no problems.I think people should avoid milk because of too much calcium and too little VD and magnesium.
BTW, having a flu vaccine doesn't guarantee you won't get the flu... plus there are many "other" viruses (not just the H1N1 flu) that can cause these types of symptoms.
