hi.. i need your opinion on something. my girlfriend claims to have been raped by her ex.. she cries whenever we go near the place it happened, she cries whenever we do sexual stuff, she self harmed after it happened, she also tried suicide. i believed her 100%, but she met this guy the other day.. he groped her, touched her and kissed her against her will, and she was hysterical. i still believe her, but the fact she met this guy again has made me wonder if it happened... any thoughts? thanks.

In theory, this message is good, but there are a number of problems.

Kanin discovered that most of the false accusers were motivated by a need for an alibi or seeking revenge. Essentially, there are no formal negative consequences for the person who files a false report of rape. Falsely accused men can face jail and have their money taken away.

@jlwelch Yes, false rape accusations are every man's worst nightmare. The women who make these false accusations should be hanged once they are found guilty

The only way to avoid this kind of thing is to always have a friend with you while you're on a date. A sister or even your mother will do! He won't even think about taking advantage of you then.

Or simply not have sex at all when drunk. Hell, given the sheer volume of false rape allegations I'm beginning to wonder if people are going to need attorneys in the bedroom to make sure she doesn't resort to this sort of extortion.
