I was in that black bloc, supporting the elders who were up front, and when the cops started pushing the elders (who were in wheelchairs, etc) we got them out of there and started getting pissed, after which, there was some minor confrontation with the police line.

Yeah, like heatgun already said ... I was in that black bloc, supporting the elders who were up front, and when the cops started pushing the elders (who were in wheelchairs, etc) we got them out of there and started getting pissed, after which, there was some minor confrontation with the police line.
I worked closely with the organizers of this demo, and we deliberately didn't cause shit until the next day out of respect for everyone else, especially elders.
So fuck whoever posted this.

not sure if this was mentioned yet but the black blocs position in the march was picked by the native elders who led the protest. See because the black bloc prepares for confrotation the native elders wanted them near by for protection, you know instead of peaceniks who would just politely ask police to stop hitting them. The majority of these black bloc activists look like they're young teenaged or early twenty something punks who know very little about the world. On top of that, as demonstrated in the video, they are supporting exactly what they are against via their purchases. These people aren't here to demonstrate but instead to use fantasy driven violence in an area where they have less of a chance of being arrested.

I think the fact that they live in one of the safest and most secure countries in the world, have a chance to be educated, and have access to an outstanding medicare system that saves lives every day goes to show they do not realize how incredibly lucky they are. The target at the Olympics was legitimate, the Hudson Bay company, which has a direct effect and history of repression in Vancouver.

I think you need to read some anti-capitalist 101's, but basically resources should be shared equally and freely (in contrast to a communist state). Private property is moreso a way to deny access to resources, by elites, rather than some form of ultimate individual freedom.
I support local farms, don't wear Nike,etc, but that's not good enough. We need to dismantle power.
