This is son of sparda mode morons, the tutorial is optional. I'm play SoS right now and in human and devil hunter you don't fight the assaults until way later in the game. Jeez know your facts before you call someone a "faker"
It's not fake. The game allows you to turn tutorials on or off. You must've turned yours off or whatever. Besides, this part is later in the game when you gotta head back to the Castle Town of Fortuna. The part you're thinking of is the very beginning. I only know of Human Mode and Devil Hunter Mode, not so much as Son of Sparda Mode unless if it's another name for DHM. As for the long life gauge and stuff, you can upgrade all of that. Or else get a cheat for it.

This is not SoS mode you faker. I started playing it today and there are at least 3x scarecrows and 2 giant scarecrows (black, big blades) and no tutorial screens. Faker. Throw a video where you show you select Son of Sparda mode and then begin the mission.
Actually, the pesky assaults aren't in this mission until you get to Son Of Sparda...I think you mean mission 17...which is with Dante, not Nero. And you can have the tutorial set on...don't know why anyone would want to though since it's as annoying as hell...
Personally, I practiced the timings of the swipes. I estimated when the swipe was going to make contact with the enemy and pressed L2 the instant I assume the sword made contact. That's how I did it.
I heard from other people that you can learn the timings from Nero's yelling during each strike. You could try that and see how well you do with the Exceeds. Sorry I can't be more detailed.
Son of Sparda mod? I thought its called legendary dark knight or something like that. Or maybe I skiped it anyway on that dificulty its wicked you get to fight those knights in mission 2 already also its like 30 vs 1 most of the time and I mean 30 monsters at once and more keeps poping up
Bosses have to be at a "weakened" state. For Berial, you can notice that his flames are out and that he's stunned. When bosses show this weakness, you can Buster them, especially in DT.

Everything that I've done in this video or all my videos are done manually. Auto won't let you instant rev as much as I did.
