  • how often do you need to change the atomizer on any of these ecigs ? and which of 4 are the most durable, easy to take care of (im lazy) and delivers the best ? im buying one on the weekend and i wanted to know what you prefer ?

  • @PoppinJony How often you replace the atomizer depends on a few factors. How many times you vape on it when it's low on juice (atomizers like to be wet) has a lot to do with it. Also, if you hit it a bunch of times consecutively it will get very hot. Atomizers don't like to get dry or overheat. If you keep em fairly cool and wet, it will probably last you a month or two. If you don't, you may be swapping them out every week or two. I typically get about 2-3 weeks with heavy vaping.

  • @PoppinJony I prefer the 510 attys but I still have a fondness for the 801's. I also recently started using the 306 atomizers. The 510 and 306 attys have the same battery connection so the only batteries I use are for the Joye EGO. I also use the same batteries for the 801's but you have to have a 510 to 801 adapter. As far as which ones are the easiest to take care of...I'd say the 510's but there really isn't much maintenance to any of them. I don't clean them anymore...I just pitch em.

  • anyhow despite my critique your review was very helpful and I have decided to give my 801 a 2nd chance with some e-liquid. Maybe it is just the cartridges.

  • @MWcrazyhorse Bingo! The 801 is great and I love the 801 atomizers. Direct drip all the way with that one though. The 801 cartridges SUCK! I have about 50 full cartridges that I've got with various models (801's, Joye stick, etc.). I just drip 2-3 drops on the atomizer bridge (metal horseshoe looking thing inside the atomizer).

  • @UBRocked thanks for the tip! I'll most certainly do that. Just got to wait for my spare atomizer and e-liquid to be shipped. I was so unhappy with the performance that I tried to "fix" it by adding some holes to the steel wool (to increase the surface and allow the heat to convey better, or so the theory), buuuut instead I destroyed it :-(

I suppose it was a faulty model to begin with.

  • vitamin a is what is in your 510. Do you realise different liquids produce different amounts of vapour? aaaarrghhh. I have the 801 and with the pre filled cartridges it hardly proces any vapour at all.

  • Love your reviews, great stuff. Cant wait for mine now.

    Ever considered marketing???

  • @chivasme What did you end up ordering? Marketing?...what do you mean?

  • @UBRocked Trying to sell stuff to people I suppose

  • I ordered the joye 510 from health cabin and waiting for delivery, how long does the batteries last you? And should I invest in the long batteries with the pcc for those batteries?

    Thanks

  • @chivasme If I am using the 510 exclusively, the batteries will last about 2 hours at home, and about 3-4 hours at work (I vape less at work obviously). I personally think that the mega batteries is a waste if you are going to get the 510 with a PCC...that is all you need to get through the day and then some.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!.

  • hey check out valuevapor its a new site but i just got 5 30ml bottles of liquid for forty dollars with shipping!!!

  • Good tip. Glad to see that other people are lowering prices! No need to rip people off cause $30 for 30ml is ridiculous and I think there are some sites still charging that!

  • great vid!!!

  • I had to crank up the volume to hear you but great video review nonetheless man! I agree, the Joye510 can produce equal amount of vapor as the DSE801. It's also effortless because its manual switch as well.

I got my Joye510 from AnyCigarette [.] com and it really is my favourite out of the 4 cigs you reviewed.

I do own all 4 models and Joye510 is great.

    Thx for the video!

  • Yeah sorry, crummy webcam on my laptop. Good news is I have a new and improved webcam...bad news is I haven't had time to make any new videos.

I recommend the 510 to all first time e-cig users cause it just works and it is uncomplicated. The 901 is finicky, the 801 is big, and the KR808D-1 is just different. All 4 are good in different ways but any category that I can think of (vapor, throat hit, ease of use, etc.) the 510 is tops. Battery life sucks...but with a PCC it's a non issue.

  • great vidieos! you have helped alot. pluss you are funny as hell . great job.

  • Thanx for the advice, i've never tried just dripping into the atty and leaving the cart empty, I was always under the impression the juice would run into the battery and short it out, I'll give it a shot.

I am definitely with you on not going back to regular cigs, I do love vaping just need lots of extra parts i guess.

    thank you

  • You are correct though in saying these things are high maintenance, gosh always a pain in the ass, I can never just sit down and just vape, and the atty gets hot quickly and then ofcourse the flavor and vapor dissapate, and now the batteries are becoming tempermental and giving me a short cutoff time, can you please recommend something that is reliable, long lastiing with a high vapor output that will be dependable for longer than a month. I am unemployed and really don' have lots of cash. thnx

  • I know what your saying but I am cool with the trade offs that come with the e-cigs. Yes you have to drip after 5-10 hits, recharge batteries, clean attys, etc., but I love my e-cigs and I wouldn't go back to stinking like cigarettes, paying $5+ per pack, and not being able to vape indoors, at my desk, in the car with the kids, ON AN 4 HOUR FLIGHT!!! My "go to" is always a 510. Get a PCC with it and you're set without having to buy several extra batteries to get through the day.

  • I am still a newbie to the whole e-cig thing, 32 days so far smoke free, I've so far only had the dse801 and until recently I have loved, I had the stuffing get melted on one of my atty's and about gagged, I always keep it topped off so I don't know why that happened but I swore I'll never use the stuffing again. I use teabags now and i'm not sure I like that either, the vapor is very tempermental and i'm always getting a mouth ful of juice, I guess i'll have to start carrying a spit cup. sucks

  • Congrats on making the switch. Hopefully, you will love these e-cigs as much as I do and I have been vaping for quite some time now. I don't have too much problem with my 801. I did drop a battery and it shorted out upon impact (got really hot and no longer works). I just drip with the 801 because the carts do not work very well IMO. Drip 3-4 drops on the 801 atty with an empty cart and give that a whirl.

  • Sweet! Thanks for the heads up.

  • Oh I forgot to ask if you have problems with the 510 PCC charging/fitment with manual batteries from HCabin? My order sitting in customs and now wondering. LOL.

  • No, no problems like that with the PCC. My PCC is from Health Cabin and my 510's have the highest raised buttons. No modification needed, it just works and I think all the new PCC's being sold are now okay. One problem I have had along with some others...the USB to Mini USB cable that comes with it has failed. I think it is just a cheap cable and I have lots of USB cables from cell phones, external hard drives, etc. but you might want to pick up a spare cable in case.

  • thanks for the real review, well done! im wanting to go with the JOYE 510. is health cabin reliable? I tend to be cautious about over seas vendors but they do have the best prices. would you recommend buying extra cartridges, juices, at the same time?

  • Yes, Health Cabin is reliable. I have used them for regular orders as well as wholesale orders. Anything purchased via the website (regular orders) is covered in case customs would confiscate the products for whatever reason. Orders via email (wholesale orders) are not covered so keep that in mind.

Having said that, I would purchase at the same time if using the website to place an order. Shipping is expensive (about $23 for my orders typically) so pay the shipping charge once.

  • thanks a million!

  • Thank you for all of this information! I am new to this. I smoke a 1/2 pack a day and want to stop. I thought I would give this a try. I ordered the Joye510 from Health Cabin 4 days ago and I am waiting to receive it. I'm trying to gather information on how to use these e-cigs and what I should order! Looks like I need to order more stuff once I get my first e-cig. Takes a little while to receive the shipment, but the prices are really good.

  • Glad to help. You are doing this the right way! Better to get the information up front and then it will all make more sense when you get your shipment. Yeah, 7+ days is a long time to wait and I hate waiting! lol

  • Great Vid UBROCKED! What made you get the 510 Silver vs Titanium? I'm guessing Titanium may ring bells with airport security? =)

  • Oh, I may have mistaken. It looks Titanium.

  • Haha! No, the TSA were not in my thoughts when I bought it. I got the Stainless 510 and 901 the same so I could compare them (photos looked like different finishes). They do look different. The 901's finish is very smooth and has a mirror like shine. The 510's finish looks more like brushed nickel than it does stainless. It is a different color and I like it better because when I scratch it, I don't think it will show. The 510's finish does not show fingerprints either.

  • Sweet, I'm placing an order @ HC now. I just wish I seen this video earlier. I'm up to my 4th eCig model now. Damn it! LOL. You saving the newbies money from over spending. Thanks again sir!

  • What models have you tried? I overpaid for an under performing e-cig when I bought my first one and that is why I created my first video. I quit smoking to save money...I'm young enough that I was not yet worried about the health risks of smoking as much as I should have...so money was the biggest reason I quit. Why spend more on a smoking replacement? Soon...you won't have to buy from china and wait so long... ubrocked(dot)com is coming soon!!!

  • Well I have the L88B, 401, and 901. I hated the 401 it took well over a week to get use to cause it killed the flavors. L88B is my mobile option and the 901 with USB passthrough is my home vaping. I think the 510 will be my final purchase to satisfy both the mobility and monster vape.

  • I was going to buy a 510 from health cabin are the carts that come with it drip friendly?

  • Yes, the carts for the 510 are drip friendly but when you drip and are constantly removing the cart, along with the constant heating of the atomizer, the cart will eventually shrink slightly and becomes loose inside the atomizer. At that point, you should replace the cart. You can deal with the loose cart but it creates problems like coming off when your 510 is in your pocket and things like that.

  • I wish I could do something else....vaping is amazing!

I must agree that my "narrow band/joyce" atomizer seems to work slightly better than my TECC atomizer. ...Do I care about vaping too much...probably...HA!

  • Thanks for posting. I'm starting to think there is an actual difference rather than just being in my head.

  • Bravo bud! Standing ovation! And not just because you mentioned me!

I did a side by side test a few minutes ago of the HealthCabin RY4 and HealthCabin RY4 mixed 3 parts e-juice to 1 part glycerine -- both on the new thin-banded atomizers... The mix puts out so much vapor it's almost too much. I can blow out a good 10 smoke rings off one 5 second hit taken into the lungs. A mouth draw only I blew a smoke ring that hung around long enough for me to take another hit and blow through it in the air.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the support! I have been getting hounded to do the initial impressions by a few people that knew what I was ordering so there it goes. I am now using each device exclusively so I can assess battery life, etc. I am missing switching out devices every other inhale!

Sounds like the vapor is kickin but was there a winner between the old one and the new one? If you don't mind...do a head to head with the thick band and thin band attys.

  • I am going to take my best thick banded atomizer and give it a good cleaning first and let it dry out for a day then do a head to head. I'll keep you posted.

  • I didn't really take you for lovestruck...the obsessed part maybe! J/K!

I watch every vid those two guys put out cause they know their e-cigs and they usually make a lot of sense.

I'm glad my vids have helped you....as long as your 18+ (my plug for debunking the FDA's claim that e-cig companies are marketing to kids)...if your less than 18 (not just you...others reading this...don't vape...don't smoke...just go to college...and get a better job than the one I have!!! :-)
