Luxembourg 87% Catholic and very wealthy. Ask if you want more. Homicide/burglary/suicide have more to do with cultural, economic, and social conditions than anything else. (also the US has the highest GDP of any country so technically the US is the most productive country)

This video is very confusing. At no point was there any evidence presented to support the claim that religion is bad. Maybe religion is bad but their is no explnation here. Luxembourg 87% Catholic and very wealthy. Ask if you want more. Homicide/burglary/suicide have more to do with cultural, economic, and social conditions than anything else. (also the US has the highest GDP of any country so technically the US is the most productive country)

As for child molesters, there were almost 11,000 victims of molestation by priests or holy figures in recent years. Circumcision is still a common practice, and there are other religious mutilations. As it should be. But you can't think "god will take care of me". It's a selfish and ignorant concept. Just because some mistranslated book "claims" such, doesn't make it true. To think "he broke a promise" that wasn't "made" in the first place is no fault but your own. If anything, you're better off praying to deceased family members.
Besides, with all this BS slung. Don't you think "god" would want you to live your own life anyways? True to yourself and to the world. Hope is not in a lie.

God doesn't just "show up". He is always with you. Its because of the sin and death humans have troubled times. God created a perfect world, and we screwed it up.

"Religion" is a denial phrase for what is truly "evil". Only because of religion, evil things happen. So in reality, religion is evil. Forget "Satan" and your fire pits of hell. It's those who are slaughtering millions of innocent people in the name of "Jesus", "God" or "Muhammad" for thousands of years. 2009 isn't any different aside from the use of technology. Humanity needs to grow up and get a clue, religion needs to die if the human race is to move forward. That's all there is to it.

Second of all, religions all over the world are meant to make people not think for themselves and distrust their own judgement. Thirdly, hate crimes and prejudice against gays and other religions is very common worldwide. So yes, this stuff is happening in those places.

The best hospitals in the United States were built by atheists. I advise you move away from the south. Things are backwards in Tennessee. I know the story better than most since it was in our local newspaper everyday and on every station I watched for a few weeks since I live in the area.
This had nothing to do with religion and everything to do with someone who is mentally unstable.
