  • this is the perfect example of how close fiction can come to reality.....especially in the US investment banking environment.

  • How the hell did that guy in the bowtie ever get into an ibank?

  • It's bone.

  • are they all the vice president lol?

  • They really are a pack of cunts aren't they.

  • the card sounds are so fucking amplified and they sound so good like music when your high.

  • Before he says " lets see Paul Allens Card" I think he is starting to cry!

  • Bale deserved an Oscar for his performance

  • if this scene was done with little kids bateman would have said " allen has mistaken me for this doo-doo head marcus halberstram "

  • That's Bone

  • you can't understand it if you are not a business man...sorry

  • @sagv14 or maybe you cant understand it if you ARE a business man

  • I should of kept "that" business card.

  • they'd prolly jizz if they found a pokemon card

  • @redarrowhead2 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA

  • why are all vice presidents?

  • @Hamburger1993 in a typical investment bank, my understanding is that you have analysts, associates, vice presidents, and directors. i could be wrong, and even if I'm right, it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me :D

  • @Higgins2001 okay... but still a good question

  • 10 people just can't admit Bateman has a slightly better haircut than Halberstram...

  • Although I have a slightly better haircut

  • When did a dickhead like you get so tasteful?

  • Man this movie's the shit

  • @smashinglollipops nah its awesome. maybe u have to watch it twice or just dont get it.

  • @BEARARMZ i've never seen it but this doesn't interest me at all... (a friend sent me this clip)

  • Even that dickhead Marcus Halberstram cant believe Paul Allen had an 830 reservation at Dorcia.

  • 1:39

  • hello halberstram....nice tie

  • haha He looks at Paul Allen's card like he wants to do it :P

  • I think I forgot how awesome this movie is.

  • 1:32 I THOUGHT IT SAID BATMAN....for a sec

  • That's bone.

  • 10 People's cards do not have watermarks.

  • Microsoft Sam

  • rollin... DUBS GET!

  • Dubs. Check em.

    CHECK EM

  • When I watched this movie i thought it was one of those "dark comedy" movies but then i found out it's actually a horror/thriller movie.... lol this movie is waaaay better than inception or any other psychological film

  • Paul Allen's card FTW!

  • I hope it was peruvian ceviche ;)

  • OMG, it even has a watermark...

  • 10 people don't have watermarks on their cards.

  • Its like they're all competing to see who's *member* is bigger and the one that's most humble and doesn't even volunteer to show off, is the one who turns out to have the largest --well-- member... Men...

  • "pale nimbus" lol

    check em.

  • @LuzeZeiss Yes. I just rolled dubs as well

  • LMAO........ this movie is more like a comedy than anything xD

  • i have a slightly better haircut

  • "I can't believe that Bryce would prefer Van Pattens card to mine! >=|"

  • This video; just reminds be of their arrogant attitude of lobbyist; during the few times; I have received their business cards. One of the people claimed he worked on the bush sen administration.I was surprise/desired more insight; on why he dislike bush jr "tactics (I did my best to listen.) But he didn't openly care about the moral responsible of that party. "We thought; he would be like his dad." end quote (I throw his card in the trash; my hero Leo Joseph Ryan wouldn't of agreed with them).

  • @1awareness cool story bro

  • They have the same number because its the same firm but different extensions

  • (This clip embodies the essences; of the hollow business ethics/ ego centrism; that we see today)

  • @1awareness Its not just about business, the author said it was inspired by his own life as a young man in the 80s, and he wasn't a businessman at all. He just decided to make it set in the business world because he had a grudge against his father at the time or something. Check out his interview

  • @MadPutz Well, I have grudge on how the the Tarp fund was used; many other areas as well. (These land sharks and hustlers need a reality check.) I'm just; hoping that my fellow democrats; have the courage that is need to it; to give them that reality check.

  • It is one of the many tricky moves this movie has, these guys are all the same person IMO, all of the cards have exactly the same data same phone number, only thing that changes is the name. And it is not because it is the company number, because if that was the case, then Paul wouldn't have a reason to give Bryce his card to make him know his number, he said "call me".

  • It's like watching a poker game...

  • Funny commercial. Bear Grylls is coming to my hometown in Norway.

  • I have to return some video tapes.

  • Who is the blond cutie Halberstram shakes hands with at 0:36? He appears several times as a background extra.

  • They all. Look. The SAME.

It isn't just Bateman, EVERY ONE OF THOSE GUYS IS NUTS!

  • LMFAO

  • Sea urchin ceviche, Ceviche de erizo de mar

  • I have a strange feeling Bale will never do a comedy film. Though dark, this is the only comedy we will see him in.

  • ........lol....

  • So this is what businessmen do when they're not talking about... Well business.

  • they all have the same phone #

  • @SSSSLUSHY -- your compliment was sufficient, but its probably the generic number for their company =D

  • Is that a gram 1.28

  • is this supposed to be funny?

because I find it really funny

  • @TheMASDrummer The whole film is supposed to be funny. Its entirely taking the piss out of Western society, as did the book.

  • "Is that a gram?" lol

  • It is just a business card...

  • Got an 8:30 res at Dorsia... GREAT sea urchin ceviche.

  • @NickHannula ???

  • lol Paul Allen is definitely in Bateman's Mergers and Acquisitions list ;)

  • THAT'S BONE

  • @marqqqiolives That's very cool, Marq, but that's nothing.

  • how many vice presidents are there?? shouldn't there be one

  • @conochi1 Companies usually have a VP for each department. VP of Marketing, VP of Engineering, etc.

  • @callmejitters

They're investment bankers. In IBs, VP is the position below MD. Most companies have one MD but investment banks will have many. I guess they have impressive sounding titles because in senior roles their primary purpose is to bring in deals so anything that gives the slightest hint of professionalism is valuable.

  • OMG IT EVEN HAS A WATER MARK IN IT!

  • Am i mistaken in saying that the lead singer from 30 seconds to Mars in this scene.

  • No wonder Patrick wanted to murder Paul Allen. All that for a stupid card.

  • Comment removed

  • @pete1210able A stupid card?! Someone get my axe...

  • dat pale nimbus...

  • Patrick was holding back. If he flip his card over, the Batman symbol will show which is instant win on his part.

  • how the hell do you have ads for content that isnt yours???

  • Oh, my God. ... I can't believe that Bryce... prefers Van Patten's card to mine....Hmm..... Let's see Paul Allen's card.....Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark! LOL! I LOVE IT!

  • "The tastefull thickness of it, omg" LOL wow.

  • Patrick Bateman watermarked his pants.

  • is that a gram?

  • van patten card is da best

  • "My god, it even has a watermark..."

  • jared leto

  • My business card is SO much better than these.

    ...

    Wait...

    I don't HAVE a business card. :(

    Look at that non-existant color...

  • holy fuck how many Vide Presidents can you have at one company every card says the same fucking title

  • @JokerScars69 On Wall street, if you're not a vice president, then you're the guy who delivers water...It's certifiably true, and a sad commentary on the people who caused the current fiscal crisis.

  • Well, I'll never show my business card to Pat.

  • "your compliment was sufficient"

  • ?is that a gram?" lol

  • Its quite obvious that Paul Allens card was superior to all !

  • 8 people loved Paul Allen's card.

  • This scene is just so damn awesome. Dont know why, it just is.

  • I have spent 3 hours making a damned business card. and this clip is not helping :(

I am now in full neurotic mode.

  • .............................. wut?

  • Eight people don't have business cards.

  • Paul Allen has the same phone number as Patrick Bateman

  • @slimjim1291411 You should also notice that they ALL have the same number, as well as the same title in the same department: Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions

  • @slimjim1291411 So does David van Patten.

  • @slimjim1291411 Actually. Every card you get to see in that scene has the same phone number.

  • @slimjim1291411 It's the company's phone number. :\

  • @slimjim1291411 They're ALL the same number...

  • @slimjim1291411 if you watch it again they all have the same number

  • @Emyvampgrl Even if you don't watch it again, they all have the same number.

And job title... again, whether you watch it again or not.

  • lol, Halberstram does look like a dickhead!

  • Love this scene - but just realized now they spelled "acquisitions" wrong (they forget the "c")

  • "Oh my God..."

  • I Wonder If He Gives Hookers His Card Before He Kills Them!?

  • I think Patrick "watermarked" his pants ;D

  • this clip made me feel like life is meaningless. and not in a cool way.

  • it even has a watermark !

  • This movie is so important. It talks about how wealthy people are never happy and the strife that they go through, often overlooked by people whod rather take sympathy with the poor. Rich people have issues too

  • Christian Bale was born to play batman, even in this movie his character's name is Bateman...

  • "Jesus that is really super ,how'd a nitwit like you get so tasteful?" ... best line.

  • Best dick measuring scene ever.

  • ''also I have a slightly better hair cut'' lol that s come from nowhere

  • Brilliant scene, fantastic acting. The bit where Batemen says let's see Paul Allen's card - and the three of them almost imperceptibly seem to recoil, nowing that it's probably going to better than theirs, is magic.

  • "quote from movie"

  • Jared Leto's acting in this is perfect

  • @lizzylizardson lrn2google

  • i want those glasses

  • oh my god it even has a watermark

  • "Oh well you know..."

  • @TheGameTree favorite line in this clip. thanks for also appreciating

  • @DRTHVDER I can't stop repeating that line, it's addictive, the smoothness of his voice....Oh well you know

  • Pretentious assholes with Asperger's comparing their levels of narcissism because it's the most useful thing they can do. What a bitingly accurate portrayal of the Wall Street mentality.

  • I love this pretentious bastard

  • " i have slightly better haircut. "

  • THUMBS UP if u think Patrick's card is better!

  • @ektor66 Clearly Van Pattens was superior

  • @ektor66 But dude.. Allen's card HAS A WATERMARK!!

  • @ektor66 He doesn't have a watermark

  • If you want to stand out, get yourself a glossy black card, with gold writing. Make sure the amount of text on the card is kept to an absolute minimum. Just have your name, your title, the name of the company, and then contact details. The font should be small and sleek. The card should be shiny. The glossier, the better. The client should be able to see their face in the card, like a mirror. The edges of the card should be razor sharp. If you have a card and the corners get soft, throw it away

  • @DarthCipient sharp enought to dissect someone?

  • @jwdesign336 If necessary. Hopefully it would never come to that.

  • @DarthCipient Black connotes entirety and space, but without definition; better to ensconce a black interior with maroon, mahogany or any like warm, masculine shade to establish the perimeter with an urbane, yet fundamentally potent and stalwart character. Gold type would fit quite lovely therein.

  • @DarthCipient No offence, but black card with gold writing is fucking gaudy. No class at all. You are right about the minimal text and small font. I think you are wrong about the shinyness however, it should be matte to keep with the times.

  • @eirikwegga Gaudy is good. Yuppies are gaudy. They have money, but no taste. They expect and appreciate blatant gaud.

  • @DarthCipient I think these guys have exceptional taste, and thus aren't gaudy in any way. How can you call those minimalist business cards 'blatant gaud'? And what about their absolutely classic glasses frames? And conservative and dark suits? I don't think you understand Yuppies at all; you're talking about are the nouveau riche.

  • I'm not so sure about the tastes of the others. They just don't compare to Bateman. It's subtle, I admit, but they don't quite reach the heights of excellence that he does.

  • @DarthCipient I have no idea why I wrote that comment about the 'gaudy' cards, I must have been drunk or something.. Yeah, yuppies are gaudy as hell.

  • "Oh my God, it even has a watermark." I love this scene.

  • 1.32 Top right corner... Aquisitions??? Wanna learn how to spell!

  • Oh Shit i FORGOT Jared is in this movie!!

  • Paul Allen has a better card . . . Must choke him out . . .
