Is it just me or are the movies playing at the Oscars REALLY Chaplins movies, and not remakes with RDJ ? I think I recognized Charlies expression in one of the scenes.
kinda scary really..totaly what purgatory must be like..a dark theatre all by yourself with your life flashin in front of ur eyes..surrounded by canned laughter & women you made promises to. original clips seem to fit better at the endin here cuz u can see the contrast between age & time. its a wonder nobody has really been able to recreate Chaplins style of comedy. apparently someone discovered an unreleased film of Chaplin in a tin on Ebay. anyways, tyvm for this upload & letin me comment. bye
@jerryaltman I wonder why (or who) "they" thought he was some threat? It has never been thoroughly explained. J. E. Hoover had 1,900 dossier on Chaplin! Wow!
Its such a shame that he didnt realise how great he was, as on here he keeps going on about how he was nothing special. If only he was around now to see how much the world adores him and sees his ingeniouity. I suppose thats the downside to being a perfectionist; you're never good enough, even if you're a big star. Charlie is a genius!!
1. The Reel Chaplin 2. The Kid 3. Pay Day 4. The Gold Rush 5. The Circus 6. City Lights 7. Modern Times 8. The Great Dictator 9. Monsieur Verdoux - Paris Boulevard 10. Monsieur Verdoux - Bitter Tango 11. A King in New York - Mandolin Serenade 12. A King in New York - Weeping Willow 13. A Countess From Hong Kong 14. The Reel Chaplin (part two) It's a double CD, but the other Cd is some music made to fit for Chaplin's shorts, but it's not Chaplin himself who've composed them.
everyone gets nominated for biopics today i think they just robbed robert downey jr some people are just left out no matter how awesome their performance is
in the beging when chaplin is told the story for George Hayden -Anthony Hopkins it's stand 1963 then when the story is done it says 10 years later then it would be 1973 but when you see the car driving it stands 1972????
Charlie must have been quite a character and not neccesarily the easiest man to live with. Oona must have had a great patience with him seeing as the marriage lasted at least 35 years.
Nevermind. yeah, that's definitely the real chaplin !

I love this scene from "Circus", it's hilarious. But then, "Circus" is and always will be my favourite Chaplin-movie.

vitoitalo3690 2 years ago
Chaplin composed it for "The Kid" in the sixties.
Not sure if it's named anything else but The Kid soundtrack, atleast that's the name of the track on the CD i bought with Chaplin's movie soundtracks.

True, but i think he was more calm when she married him. When he was young he was a player 100%
