i want tone soo bad but thats one hefty price tag, considering for half price you can get the equvalnet in power. but the macs are cooler, plus less viruses and battery life etc.

yeah it is i downloaded a folder off of limewire which had a virus on my moms pc and we had to rebuild the hard drive

well if you weren't so hasty you would know that OSX Leopard (the current version of OSX) has a utility called Bootcamp, which enables you to install Windows XP or Vista on another partition, and boot into Windows instead of OSX to run non-mac software. You can even buy a program called Parallels that will let you run OSX and Windows SIMULTANEOUSLY, and use Windows software in OSX seamlessly... You've got to give it a chance

I got VM Ware Fusion and run Mac OSX with Windows XP simultaneously. Performance speed is good since I upgraded to 4GB RAM. With Mac, you get Mac and PC. With PC, you only get PC! Really, no excuse not to get a Mac!

I've upgraded my MacBook to 4GB, and only edited videos for YouTube (small file sizes). It performs ok for me so far.

After buying Final Cut Express and using it, I find it troublesome and inefficient. Now I reverted back to Sony Vegas Platinum (for Windows only), running on my MacBook. Generally, I like my MacBook a lot!

I suppose when you actually buy a Macbook, you wouldn't be using it just for video editing, would you?

I love my MacBook even today and it hasn't got one scratch on it. It gets cleaned regularly and well protected with expensive case/bag.

I didn't get the MacBook because I was lucky. I got it because I studied hard, got a degree, then worked full time and studied more at the same time, then worked more. Now I have a job that pays for a reasonably comfortable life, including the ability to afford a nice MacBook.

It does need some time to get use to, but before you know it, you'll find it easy to use. Make sure to visit Mac website. They have many short videos of "how to use" tips. I learned most of the features there. Some are similar to PC, some are exclusive to Mac. Good luck!

I read the the white plastic cracked for some white MacBooks. Also, it hasn't got the latest Graphic card, so graphic performance may be slow. The only thing the white Macbook has that the aluminum hasn't is the firewire connection. Only the MacBook Pro aluminum has it.

i was thinking getting a new macbook 13, but i read review online, loads of ppl said apple using a cheap LCD on the 13 inch model and I went to the mac store that day and actually it's true, you can see clearly the 13 inch one display is really crap compare to 15, and 17 inch, they using different technology, which is really a shame, something i didn't expect from apple really, cheap LCD, and it's 1000 pound

That I didn't know. Well, I guess you have to pay extra for the good stuff. I am still very happy with my MacBook. Every time I turn it on to use it, I love it, cheap LCD or not.

I do wish the MacBook 13 comes with PC slot and firewire, like the 15" and 17", but I don't have the money for it. But I still have my PC notebook to use for the things I can't do on a Mac.
