There is NO WAY that the Spurs won that game on that shot, when they won 94-91. It made it unlikely they'd lose, but calling this a game winner when they still had to score 4 more points to seal it for good does NOT make this a game winner.

. It's to bad he had to adapt to another role when he went to the spurs. But he still has tons of game and when he's called upon he shows it. I actually like that he's slowd down with the spurs because he's slowd down due to choice, because with so many other scorers he's become a good defender and has not had to be to hard on his body. He has great field goal % this pre season and i hope alongside Jefferson coach will allow him more offense

reason why he might get the green light more than last year, like i said i felt like he was itching to pull the trigger when they were missing scoring last year but poppovich forgot to tell him to pull it. I think he's gonna see the green light this year because he does not neccasarily have to play the tough defender instead of scoring i know you do both and he does still but u know what i mean, but playing alongside jefferson, we could see a revamped Finley.

It was not a gme winner, but a great play to finish the game for the Spurs. I know because I was at this game, Spurs play that play 100 or more times when it comes down to winning the game.

Did it WIN the game or prevent a comeback? BIG difference. It made it impssible, almost, for the Nets come back but it did NOT win the game. It sealed the game. Not quite the same thing. Still a clutch shot, though.

@PweezyG81 No, it was not. It made it a 4pt lead. IF the Nets scored?? They did not score again, and even if they did score another basket, it does not win them the game because the Spurs were already AHEAD. Game winners, are either when you are behind or tied, not when they extend the lead. Maybe a game-clinching jumper, but NOT a game-winning jumper.

@humblephil I didnt know if the nets scored but if they had even scored 1 pt. then Finleys shot goes down as the game winning hoop. Game winners are not always last second buzzer beaters buddy. Up your knowledge before you open that mouth again. You can hit game winners this way all the time. Its just not as exciting as the buzzer beaters.

If Finley had scored the bucket before that as well, then the bucket that put them ahead by one point would have been the game winner. This shot simply sealed the deal. It did NOT win the game. You need to learn basic addition and subtraction. The game winning shot was the shot that game the Spurs the lead, not Finley's shot. It sealed the game, but it did NOT WIN the game.

If you had actually read what I wrote, I said that, "I didnt know if the nets scored after this hoop but If they scored even 1pt. then Finleys shot would have counted as the game winner" His shot put them up 4 meaning they were up 1 before the shot. The next nets possession they are down 4 if they score even 1 pt they are down 3. Without the Fins 3 the game is tied. Fins shot is the game winner in that scenario.
