  • Main point of the song is about communism..

  • This song is amazing. Its beautiful....it talks about what the world could be, but never will. This has to be my favorite song by A Perfect Circle. It also represents that dreams can be shared by more than one mind.

  • Maynard is just as powerful of a musician here as he is in Tool -- the music is just styled differently. All in all, it's still Maynard singing his messages and beliefs for the world to hear.

  • fuck you a perfect circle. i miss tool. back when manyrd was actually cool yknow?

  • @sidneymaster12 OGT? haha, then again, Tool does sort of kick ass

  • MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its amazing

  • That's the feeling I first got from the original song....It's an awesome cover, a true one.

  • The way it has always been with me is like this: No matter whether it was a cover or original of a song, you will always like the one you heard first. There have only been a very rare handful of occasions where I liked the second version after hearing the cover/original first. I love this cover more than the original because it gives that feel of despair until the chorus lifts you up and gives you the notion that we still have time to change.

  • Bloggers speculate way too much.....

Just sit back and enjoy the song.....

Or move on and click the cute kitty video or something.

  • i really dont lennon would have minded APC redoing a song. when a song is remade the newer generation listens then goes back to find the original song and might become a fan.

when a cover is done. theres almost always increase in sales for the original.

covers are good marketing for the original

  • @dcderek24 lol, lennon's opinion doesn't matters whatsoever. Not like he could say, "No, I do not approve." lol

  • writers only write songs for the message. A message get forgotten, so than a writer from a different generation agrees, and sends the message out to his crowd. Than the next generation will do the same if they feel the same way and is as devoted to send the same message. Wouldn't Lennon want that. I don't like Lennons style of music, but maynards I do. So I got the message through maynard. Thank you lennon.

  • @1125billy good comment

  • It is funny that a few of you mention that they re-made this song to make a "hit". From my recollection, the only "hit" on this album was "Passive", which is an original APC song. Maybe you should check out the music video for this remake as to why the song was re-made.

  • @MrJericocane, If you think people have heard it so much they don't care about it anymore its just 'that" song he wrote, then why would a band redo it ? If it was just "that" song. I have no problems with remakes and what you call Tributes.

You could ask any 20 year old kids these days ,who is John Lennon and they will still know. So the bands not doing John a favor buy re-doing his song. And thanks for calling scottloganstl stupid, that just shows how mature you are to begin with.

  • bi-polar cover. Just the way I like it.

  • why anyone could ever like this better that the original is only because they never took the time to really listen to the song and know what its all about... remakes are not so freakin cool. Its a cheap ass way of making A NEW HIT. try writing you own songs for a change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @scottloganstl

I agree that most of the time, the originals are better than the covers, and I do like the original 'Imagine' better than this cover, but I /am/ still fond of this one. John Lennon's original gave a warm type of feeling to it, making the people envision a lovely world with the lyrics. But, for me, A Perfect Circle made it eery to even somewhat frighten listeners with the message it's sending, to know what could happen and to know what this world could be. I think both are great~.

  • @scottloganstl your stupid, its called a tribute, they are singing the song and re circulating it through our country because john lennon kindof cant anymore, and people ahve heard it so much they dont care about it anymore its just that song he wrote, a perfect circle is merely just tryig to get the message out again, and they do write their own songs, IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO REALLY LSTEN TO THEM, LOL

  • @scottloganstl

"Deliberately released on America's election day, A Perfect Circle's third album mostly comprises reworkings of familiar songs, and a couple (original songs) designed to chime with the overall concept of "songs about war, peace, love and greed"". It really was an attempt at getting people "to really listen to the song and know what its all about." While I don't like all the covers, I do appreciate APC releasing a risky concept album to reach a new generation with an old message.

  • i should track you down and crucify your ass for saying that (( Ikmainutz))

  • i heard maynard was actually the one singing but that durst was giving him a bj while he was singing and that's why he sounds like he's constantly getting his nuts drained with that raspy voice. They recorded the yooohoooooooo when he came.

  • @lkmainutz Haha.... That is actually one of the stupidest things that could've been said haha.

  • whooooooooo maynard keegan

  • its not him singing... thats what i heard anyway... for this song

  • that's right. Maynard called the big guns in for this one. That voice belongs to none other than Fred Durst.

  • really?
