@zzap999 How do you believe this farmer is destroying whole ecosystems? These farmers planted, cultivated and harvested this field to be able to provide food for a growing worldwide population. If we didn't raise food to feed the world and incorporate technology to get the job done, more and more people would starve to death. If you have concerns, we'd welcome you to ask questions about how your food is raised.
To all of the farmers in the USA....This is a heads up, the FED's are trying to pass a bill or law that will require all farmers to get a CDL licence to operate farm equipment...Also you will be required to keep records and maintain your machinery to what is required on truck drivers....Equipment will also be subjet to inspections....Research it....The CDL may also be enforced to anyone one who has any type of an RV or pulls any type of trailer....
Awesome video! God I look forward to this every single year. Plowing and Plantin is fun yes but this is when the real fun begins. Keep us posted. Peace and be safe. Have a good season!
any tips on how to get started farming.....im 13 and i have all my equipment and land and animals and the crops i want to farm set up, but my family on farms a small area and i don't know how to start a large farming business
John Deer has got many good things and my grandparents got John Deer 7030 and they got John Deer combine and many oder things and they got two big farms whit pigs. They got eleven machines for tractor and combine and its all from John Deer.
@cessnawings67 if i recall Lexions are the most productive machines out there. John Deere doesnt even make a class 9 combine and doesnt even offer one with tracks like Cat and Case do. Only problems with Lexions is the parts are kinda high priced and sometimes you got to drive a little too far to get them
@TheJamesloy i saw them run at the Farm Progress show in Illinois and i wasnt that impressed. Biggest problem i see is that EGR filter. You put an exhaust pipe that gets up to 1200 degrees on a combine, thats just a fire waiting to happen. Plus JD has enough problems as it is with their combines catching fire. In most honest opinion, they are ugly as hell, way to bulky looking. All they did was crank up the HP and change the looks with a new cab and side pannels. Lexion makes a class 10 now.
@kinser7220 I do agree with you there, they are kinda ugly. Did they run corn with it or soybeans? They did soybeans here and the new flex draper impressed me more then anything else. I have yet to even see a Lexion work so I really cant place my opinion.
@TheJamesloy they were running corn with it. 16 row chopping head. My friend claimed they had it going over 7 mph but on average were running about 5. I would like to actually run one for myself to really see. I ran a 9670 last year and i really wasnt impressed with the capacity or quality of the machine.
@kinser7220 Lol we just got a 9670 this year, considering we had a 9410 before, it really impressed me, I agree there is no way they were going over 7 unless that corn was terrible
there is no such thing as hobby farming. Even farming one acre of land is tough fucking work. The guy whos said that probably works in a cubicle poor soul.
Amen, Bro. I raise hay on several acres of my own and lease more, about 200 total. That's kinda big for central Alabama. Ain't one "hobby" damn thing about it if you ask me. My hobbies are hunting and fishing, and I sure don't get to do them like I did before buying this place.
@marshallmock We farm 2500 acres up in Michigan, right in the seed capital of the world, If anybody on here wants to call us hobby farmer then bring it on
Why are everyone dissing Nebraska?? They say the landscape is ungly coz its so flat. I think it looks beutiful. But I have never been in the states...

cat is better. they have 570 horsepower with a peak of 600+. Plus cat and case make class 9 combines whereas john deere doesnt. just saying

We farm 4900 acres of corn and cotton, and use nothing but Deere tractors, combines, planters, and pickers. Are we hobby farmers?
