It's true, burning man is not just a rave, but that is what video images I captured on the spur of the moment. That said, for some, Burning Man is hanging out at "2" or "10" (the rave camps) all night, and for some, Burning Man is hanging out at center camp all day.
BTW, the blinky white LED dress (on my wife) and blue LED sash (on me) were my creations this year.
Nice clips! Coulda showed a bit more of the experience, not just the rave scene. It's more than that to most burners. The music's okay, but there were some very common and memorable tracks played this year that might have suited it better for me. Not bad though.
I just got back from my FIRST TIME EVER at Burning man, and THIS video, is actually MUCH BETTER than the real thing. For the kind of money it costs to do this shitty event, my wife and I could have had a WEEK IN AMSTERDAM!!! This video really IS the event in 3 1/2 min. or less. Don't waste your time or money, and you won't be caughing up silica lung goobers for the next week either...

Burning Man is a bunch of elitists who think that "THEIR" forms of radical expressionism are somehow more important, or more releavant on some kind of cosmic level. BULLOCKS!!! Like I said, if you enjoy caughing up desert dusty lung chunks, and loud repetetive techno 24/7 then by all means spend to your heart's content, and adorn yourself with lots of day-glo fur, and be a spun dusty elitist too!!!
WOW I am amazed at all this negativity I'm hearing! I went for the first time this year, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I met awesome people, they were not elitists! In fact that 's the one thing I noticed the most- no one was judgmental. All were just freaking freely and enjoying each other- and I didn't even do drugs- just drank. Maybe you brought that neg. vibe WITH you. and so that is what you came away with. I don't know though, it's def. not for everyone. : (
Wow, so this totally explains what this "Burny Man" thing is all about. I've heard so much about it and now I feel like I've been there! What a weird thing... I saw a lot of people wearing unusual clothes. Is that normal?
