Fuck Islam. I will not live in a world where one side of the street hates the opposite side because one is Shia and the other Sunni. I did not find it to be full of prophecies which came true despite the messages at the top of the page telling me these passages were prophecies. It starts with a simple but wrong religion (based on simply worshipping the right god) and it gets more and more complicated as time goes on. I did not find it to be full of prophecies which came true despite the messages at the top of the page telling me these passages were prophecies. It starts with a simple but wrong religion (based on simply worshipping the right god) and it gets more and more complicated as time goes on. I was not impressed by anything except some of the beauty of the already quaint language used, which later translations destroy.

"To see your loved ones again", this is one of the sole reasons people beleive in the after life, which stems from our fear of death. Your loved ones are not dead as long as you are alive. Genetic memory could and probably does hold everything they knew or ever did, and its a process of adding to it with every generation. The pain we feel after someone dies is not all natural, thousands of years of conditioning have made death, sad and depressing.

If for example 6 billion people all have their own individual idea of God, then God doesn't exist, it can't. I grew up in central Europe and Islam is an insult to my values.
However, if I were a Pakistani or Saudi and lived my whole life looking at religious extremism being promoted as "virtue" then I would be also trumping up "Islamic superiority" because Islam would be the only system I have ever known.

@Soloman1001 There is no obligation on any liberal to allow repression and the rise of tyranny. People have become blind to the dangers here. There is nothing religious about oppressing women, denying people the right to choose marriage partners or fighting for the elimination of all forms of government the prophet might be thought to be condemning.
I am not in favour of religious freedom, I am in favour of freedom, which allows people to worship but not to oppress in the name of religion.

Pay attention. Religion is not a special category of human activity with separate and different rules. Freedom should apply to all actions which do not impose on the freedoms of others. Islam is a movement which is more than a religion (which doesn't make it special anyway) it is a political movement, a fascist political movement.
If you can't understand it don't worry, just accept that some people can't understand some concepts, we all have to recognize our weaknesses.

@Soloman1001 How can I deny people the right to believe something? I suggest we stop regarding Islam as "just a religion, the religion of peace" and treat it as a potentially subversive political movement bent upon the elimination of freedom and democracy. I'd fight for a Muslim's right to worship freely but I'll fight him if he tries to take away my freedom or he oppresses anybody, including his wife and children. Where's the contradiction there? I'm a liberal, I believe in freedom.

Jesus was not evil and christianity is not practised politcially and we are not all forced to pray to god and jesus 5 times a day or we are beaten and we are not taught eat curtain foods and we have the choice to go to church or not and we can leave and come back when we want.

Its easy for me to say religious beliefs are childish but i cannot say all germans are childish, because thats bigotry. Also with Judaism and Christianity they have evolved over time and become more flexible, Islam laws are constant and unchanging, there is flexibilty in islam because they have to literally obey the words of their one god, who is in fact one madman.
Of course islam is more dangerous, history has shown us this in the way it took over and dominated most of asia, it was only the Crusades which halted its progress into europe.
