i used to despise you mr harper.after hearing you are going to toughen up imigration laws i am beginning to like you as our rep. canadas growth in my opinion should come from within. we have enough multiple cultures here. award famillies with 10 or more children with a 50 percent income tax break for life and there children as well.germany used to award the kinder cross to mothers having 10 children.

The biggest problem with our staggering immigration volumes is the loss of farmland and greenspace, densification WITH sprawl, and the general despoilment of water and other resources.
The 'green' parties (Liberals, NDP, Green) don't like to talk about this, because of their links to the real estate and land development/construction industry lobbies. The whole 'celebrate diversity!' and 'hug an illegal immigrant!' lines are just for distracting gullible lefties from the overpopulation issue.
We the people of Toronto make a lot of money from immigration. My house is worth half a million dollars up from 270 000 9 years ago. I have no interest in lowering immigration. Many of us teachers would lose jobs. Guess what we don't have many white children in Canada. The immigrants don't do much better adopting our values. Most of our immigrants are legal immigrants. Look at ways of making money and growing our economy. We need the housing and all the other jobs. RIM BlackBerry, etc..

I just can't believe how many stupid people are out there. Prime minister Harper is about as scary as your grandmother. In todays Canada I can not see a better leader for our country than Mr. Harper. We don't need higher taxes with the liberals, Jack Layton is just a bad joke and Elizabeth May just doesn't have a clue. We have no choice in Canada, if you want clean government with no stealing from the cash drawer it has to be the conservatives. I would prefer a real right wing party but.........
