  • great video very helpful.

  • wish i was there rather than trying to survive this monster hangover. pray for me.

  • Your twelve step "program" is a cult by definition. cult --noun

    2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers: the physical fitness cult.

    4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.

  • While 12-step methodology is part of our program (and the most effective part), it is only one small piece. The SouthCoast Method is a three part program blending holistic, medical and spirituality resulting in a very effective treatment program. The first definition of a "cult" still doesn't apply and especially doesn't apply to our program. Thanks for your coment.

  • fuck yeah KONA i miss big sur Big ups to south coast

  • damn people just dont get it... any program will work if your willin to work it!!!! anywayz tell Morgan and Thurman Cody said whats up!

  • Gee I have Heard from verified members that the " DALI LAMA" has said that AA is the U.S.A.'s Best gift to the world!

  • Some get and Some Don't! Recovery That IS! not this!

  • I don't really know what that means, but our hotline is 866-847-4506.

  • I attended South Coast myself and I have been sober for over a year and a half now. I owe my life to South Coast and the people there who helped me. 12 step or not it comes down to wanting a better life. I found my better life at South Coast Recovery!!!!

  • this program sounds really weird, like you're trying to brainwash people

  • The definition of cult is "A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader." The 12-step program specifically excludes a leader (Twelve Traditions #2 "For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority - a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.")

  • .... I rest my case.

    Classic denial.

I told you guys that the mind control was insidious.

  • I agree, 12 step programs have not evolved and their techiniques are hurting many others like me. Please if you could tell what are your stats for recovery, and then I might believe that really 12 step programs work. Thanks

  • Over 80% of our clients that complete our 90 day program stay sober for 1 year. My personal best was 7 days over the last 20 years before trying SouthCoast's program. It worked for me. I'm very proud that the program of Alcoholics Anonymous taught me acceptance and self reliance; I don't have to blame institutions or individuals for problems as I only have to look in the mirror.

  • "millions upon millions" - wow - to the intelligent this is a detraction from your argument... but I digress.

If the 12 Step cult makes you feel warm and fuzzy - that's ok I guess - but it has little to do with you not abusing anymore.

Step up and take some credit for quiting... I hate seeing another person deticating their life to a fictional disease.... and indeed a cult.

  • Will we ever get rid of 12 step cults!?

It's not okay to use insidious mind control techniques to recruit life-time Proselytizing members dependent on a fear based cult. More lives wasted in the premise of never being recovered.

PLEASE, type the following: "AA Cult" and hit SEARCH... save yourselves - you are not powerless or insane.

  • Thank you for your opinion. Millions upon millions of people have gotten sober using the 12 step program. Perhaps it hasn't worked for you.
