i weigh 150 kg.i became fat when i became schizophrenic in 94.i was 100 kg then moved up to 174 kg in 2006.i went on a diet and after 1 half yrs i went down to 115 kg.but as you probably know it only takes a little unhapiness/depression to bring the weight up again.i always go to the gym and i stareted yoga.i have a cholesterol level at 234 which i intend to bring to under 200.anyhow you look great.bye
My father has something along the same lines as that but his only covers his nose... He also has a mouth piece made by a dentist to help keep the bottom half of his jaw pushed out to keep his airway open throughout the night....
Graham, an interesting story appeared in the New Zealand herald entitled "Power cut death: Mother said - Just give us a chance" It's the story of how a poor samoan family couldn't afford to pay their power bill and subsequently had their power disconnected. As a result, the mother of the family who was reliant on an oxygen machine, died not long after their power had been disconnected. For the full story, you can do a google search on the story title.
Tiger woods? Can you add some essential oils to the chamber for aromatherapy? How about some lemon, or vanilla, or roasted chestnut. I once was feeling ill, so I started the last inch or so of a heavenly roasted chestnut candle and took a nap. A bit later I peeked my eye open and saw 8 inch flames leaping up from the candle holder. I quickly went and smothered the flames with another candle holder. Apparently you're supposed to remove the sticker from the bottom of candles. D'oh!
I use one and I find that washing my face before I put the mask on makes for a better seal, and less likeley to "leak" during the night. Thank you for putting a human face on this. BTW, you don't have to be obese to have sleep apnea. Plus, since I started using it, I can sleep on my back! My life is so much better. Compared to my snoring, the machine's noise is preferrable, hands down.
The CPAP machine blows air into the airways to keep the walls of the airway separate and thus easier for the sufferer to breath. The suffer can then get a good night's sleep without having to fight to get their next breath of air.
u dont need that contraption u just need to rub vegemite ( not that imposter shit) on ur chest and some vicks on ur face and ur never going to get sleep aponea
Yours looks much prettier than mine. Mine is a little older, though. And, a whole lot squarer. Incidently, congrats on your recent weight loss, you look much smaller now! (O:
I didn't understand so much. But is that a thing that makes you not snoring? Because it looks like that, I was sleeping over in another house and the guy he weighted pretty much about 130 kg and he used that, is it that thing?
Snoring is a symptom of sleep apnea. What happens is that suffer stops breathing or because of being too obese the throat fat forms a block to the flow of air and the suffer between each breath fights to get a new breath. The result is poor quality sleep, and the blood oxygen levels can fall dangerously too low.
A friend of mine uses one of these devices. He use to constantly nod of to sleep without warning and had several car accidents. His device works very well for him and is a life saver.
My Mom has been trying to get diagnosed with sleep apnea for a long time. Myself, my Aunts, my Uncles (one of which is a doctor not able to practice in my state because of licensing differences), my Sisters and Father have all seen her pause breathing. Yet, miraculously, the doctors at the sleep clinic didn't. ~rolls eyes~
My friends all say "sit on my face" all the time, its their favorite saying heh. Thats gay guys for you though heh. Good to finally know what a CPAP machine looks like considering my law and ethics in nursing assignment involved a nurse turning off a CPAP machine
I foud the following answer on the internet reagrding CPAP use for asthma:
CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machines are not currently used for asthma, except in cases where someone has both asthma and sleep apnea. Some experts speculate that CPAP could be useful in treating patients with nighttime asthma alone, but the research so far has produced inconsistent findings.
I had a friend that has Sleep Apnea he is a big guy & they told him if he loses weight he will improve with it but he wont do it but we stoped being friends
that machine really does BLOW Graham... ;)
