Yes the debt increased under Reagan, but it was NOT because of tax cuts. Tax revenues DOUBLED - so the problem was PURELY spending - and most of the spending was entitlement spending - and on the military. It was because Jimmy Carter left a military in such bad shape that a very high % of our equipment was not even operable.

Yes the debt increased under Reagan, but it was NOT because of tax cuts. Tax revenues DOUBLED - so the problem was PURELY spending - and most of the spending was entitlement spending - and on the military. It was because Jimmy Carter left a military in such bad shape that a very high % of our equipment was not even operable.

@andrewhurricane IN FACT, when Reagan took over,the Army rated six of its ten combat divisions in the Continental United States (CONUS) as in category C-4 (not combat ready). Of the remaining four divisions, three were rated combat ready but with major deficiencies.
So only ONE of our combat divisions - responsible for actually defending our homeland was in even satisfactory condition.
IF you liberals would quit neglecting things we wouldn't have to fix things & clean up after you.

Of which 6 trillion or so has been accumulated by president Obama, in his short time in office. Mensa accepts people who score in the top two percent of the population which is roughly 135 or higher, THAT'S who told me. @kuhnmartin My favorite example of Fox's deception is when BritHume downplayed the death of American soldiers in Iraq when he said "statistically speaking U.S. soldiers have less of a chance of dying from all causes in Iraq than citizens have of being murdered in California". He then explained to his audience that Iraq and California were roughly the same geographical size. Do you need me to explain why that is deceptive? I can very easily in an online forum like this.

I keep reading stories that this guy is a teacher and the parents of his students have been complaining to school officials about this video and the way the teacher handled himself. That's pretty funny. The guy comes across as a barbaric uneducated asshole. His fate was in his hands and he could have portrayed himself and others there in a much better light. Oh well. I also want to say, this man in the video is also a moron. He had a chance that most people in his position would have loved but he wasted it by looking like an ignorant fool. Just saying FOX lies does not make it so, and the reporter was giving him a chance to explain himself but all he could do was stand there and scream and look like an ass. He blew it. If he really felt that way, he would have explained his stance and at least had some dignity.

@kuhnmartin No network has the ratings FOX has, because FOX is the one centralized news outlet which is strictly conservative. While other American viewers shade from moderate to anarchistic, speading their viewing across networks from PBS to CNN, only FOX caters to the austerely right. Thus, that demographic is concentrated and FOX has the single largest draw.
