I think one thing I found with it. When I've visitied is that it in terms of it's character as a place and with the people that it's a lot more friendly and I guess you could even say cosy than any university I've visited. I mean obviously some people are not looking for that in a university, but for me it seems perfect.
What is it like to come there as an international student? I'm from Sweden and I'm having serious thoughts about going to st Andrews in about a year or so, but I'd like to know what it's like..
I'm gettin unconditional offer at St-Andrews for masters...But hv heard a lot of demotivating stuff from ppl...dat we do not get part-time jobs,no placements aftr degree,job prospects r negligible,no suitable student accomodation available...nd so on...
Anyone havin any idea please help....will i b able to get part-time job?nd gud private aacomodation?PLEASE HELP.SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!
By the way, you know it's really easy to cange your degree at this Uni? My first year I did Linguistics, Italian and Classics then I changed to Spanish.
(Spanish there by the way is awesome. Second only to Cambridge and the professors are just fantastic).
would you mind like... messaging me about St. Andrews??? I just got in and I'm freaking out. Obviously choice academics... but how is the social scene? I'm guessin you absolutely loved it from the looks in the vid. I'm just fucking nervous/ amped outta my mind. so yah. please message me about the school and stuff.
Dreadful video standard! Poisongutterflower: don't worry about not knowing anyone. Valuable tradition at StA is obligation to acquire Academic Father/Mother by time Raisin Monday arrives. That ensures you will get to know people two years ahead of you, rather than simply others of your own year who are in as much of a mess as you.
I would like to go to St Andrews Uni, can anyone tell me how hard it is to make new friends at uni? also when people get there do most already know each other or are we all in the same boat and know nobody ???
I came to University at St Andrews not knowing anybody else and loved it. Still friends with people I met in my first week. Also still live in St Andrews - a decade and a half later!
FIRMED =D

Quick reply? No. It's incredibly international. I've not met any one suffering from any kind of racism.
