I was successful in creating the pandora battery and instaling custom firmware on many psp's. After a while the battery started to bulge and leak so I had to throw it out. I don't need the pandora battery anymore.

i tryed makin one out of a regular fat one and it frikin got hot and i dont want to put it in psp bcuz people say it bricked

the first batt is a lipo the 2200mah fat is a lion dont know bout the slim but lithum polamer batt will explode and burn if cut or shorted and lithum ions will only if shorted cuz li ons r in a cell cass the li pos r a foil u can stab them and make a fire granade'

Well my pandora battery ended up exploding. A large bulge developed and eventually it wouldn't even fit in the psp bay. There was some fluid also leaking from the cracked area of the bulge :( Oh well, it worked for a while and at least downgraded a few psp's for me.

That battery chip looks just like my battery chip.

I was successful in creating the pandora, I just used a push pin to break off the leg. I used a magnifying glass as it's so small to see. Luckily I didn't damage anything on the battery and it works great as a Pandora battery. This mod really can be done by anyone with a little care and patience you too can do it.
