  • OMFG paul.... are you trying to hack the military network

  • why such a small case

  • That things like 3k lol

  • for ppl that work for and at new omg boyz you do not know your parts! and the right order to put them in ?

  • ooo my god !!!!!! i think this a rocket not a computer like the other good work guys

  • This system in Cm Cosmos 2 case!

  • are the super combos on newegg.com compatible to fit. like if i were to buy a combo, would all the pieces i get be compatible to fit and work together?

  • That's some serious hardware there, but that case is WAYYYYY to small. Those mars card's are going to generate some serious heat and there's no where for it to go. The new cosmos II case would of been perfect for those monster GPU's

  • Yup, that limited edition ARES card is already out of the game...sigh...

  • How would you even put a soundcard into a system like this or any system that has 2 graphics cards blocking or taking up the space of the bottom half of the mobo?

  • @Xxd3cayxX YOU DON'T!!! GASP! jk its not really necessary with a mobo of that quality. It would just make it even MORE awesome-sauce.

  • 7TB? Who watches THAT MUCH PORN?

  • Love that machine - would love to trick out a machine with all these high end components.

  • Can anyone tell me which would be better 16gb dual channel or 12gb of triple channel?

  • red brush is not pink

  • well, im not being ignored cause you responded to the comment, now tell me what its like to be an idiot

  • oh ya, well i got two radeon hd 6870s so there

and my motherboard is better too

  • @stephmc111 remind me how it feels to be ignored after posting such a rude comment

  • PAUL!

  • Can Limbo Run it in this Computer ??? :)

  • what i want for my birth day is...

  • Wait that setup, and then you get air cooling? Seems to me someone has no clue...

  • Thats not how you spread thermal paste :D If you spread it, when you put the heatsink down, you WILL have air bubbles. I recommend smaller than his grain of rice, and just put the cpu cooler on top.

  • i wish i had this computer HOLY SHIT MINE SUCKS

  • what happened to the soundcard

  • u should of use a corsair h series nerds!!

  • Why don't you guys ship to AUS why D:

  • The ares has 2 5970 gpu's not 5870

  • @stonecoldtrk There is no 5970 GPU, die 5970 is a Dual-GPU Card with two 5850 GPU's. So the Ares HAS two 5870 GPU's.

  • @Atobo The ares has 2 5970's, the 5970 has 2 5850's according to you. That means the ARES has 4 5850's.

  • @OutlawLovesNewVegas The Ares has two 5870's, the 5970 has two 5850's, get your facts right.

  • @Atobo then what r the gpu's on the 5970?

  • @Atobo nvm i just googled it :) i was mistaken

  • they r just showing that windows 7 box, we all know they got windows 7 off pirate bay just like everyone else

  • No.... not the spread method... seriously? That is a mega novice move, you just put air bubbles all over the place on that CPU *slaps forehead*

B> Real Techs... not game enthusiasts...

  • I will be getting this build but not exactly. I can do without those extra drives. I just need power, great GPUs, that CPU and a cooling fan. The Zalman CNPS 9900 Max is a beast. And I might go with a different case. Great build and video!

  • wat a fucking shitty case!!

  • That has to be more than a $3,000 computer... sweet!

  • Arty forgot to add does it come with those briefcases if it does those are the shit.

  • So bitch will, Jill, bill what ever his name is fucker picked everything good except fucking case mother bitch fucker fuck get off Newegg and go make me a sandwich I pray your better at that could job Paul I would hate to work with that idiot bitch who looks like a scared gazelle. well good build hate the psu, why isn't it modular faggot. Wtffffff why the hell is that heat-sink so fucking big get some corsair h70 in this shit GOD DAMN. Love those video cards but like I said fuck the case. Pose

  • Always install the CPU and heatsink outside the case. Damn, Newegg. Get it together.

  • That's a really nice George Foreman Grill :P

  • 7Tb?? Who the fuck are you!!! XD

  • Install backplates before placing motherboard in the case

  • nice case lads:D

  • Why not watercoolering for the CPU?

  • why not use a full-tower?

  • I don't like this build

  • iam new to the computer building.thank you for your videos

  • This video should be alternately titled "How to roast a sound card"

  • @Snipen543 It's not getting roasted...The heat from the video cards is exhausting out the back. It might get a little radiant heat from the back of the lower card's PCB, but it's not directly in the line of fire. It is sort of blocking one card's intake, though.

  • @jermizzey No it's obviously getting roasted, look at the design of the card, it doesn't force it out the back, it's pushed into the case from the top card, while blocking its intake, and getting heat from the bottom cards PCB

  • Those cards are probably like.. Oh shi- Can't breathe *cough* choking.. arghhh

  • one question:

How much did al these components cost together + case?

  • fuck youporn, this is the shit.

  • look at all the cool stuf is like porn for me

  • I was wondering Why so many HD's? I have been using single hd raptor for ever. I think I would have used 1 quiet SSD. The cable management in this is terrible. I would have used modular. Did you see the size of the cpu fan? That was crazy. Only 1 DVD optical, 'I go with'. What is the graphics cards required 12v amperage? And did the psu meet it? I did like the location of the fan case+ cable management area behind the panel. - all the hd's. + a modular psu. . Liked.

  • Ore is what you get from a mine...

  • Sooooooo awesome.

  • 1 Ares card is more than enough but two thats like the most over the top graphics set up ever.....

    I love it

  • Unless you have dual 6990s

  • you guys just made me bought this!!!!! you are the best

  • do the anti-static wrist bands need to be attached to the case ore something else

  • Excellent video as usual. I need your expert advice please. True or false? On a 1155 sandy bridge mobo, occupying all four dimm slots compared to occupying 2 or 3 dimm slots, will this slow down the rams bandwidth. I read mixed reviews on this discussion and wanted your opinion. I will be using the Asus Maximum IV Extreme mobo for my next computer build so far. But all can change as time goes on. Thanks. Peace and keep up the good work and videos.

  • 7 tb!!!!!!

what are you going to store that is that big???

  • why did you not use the corsair hydro series H70 for the processor

  • Get Devin Townsend on here to pwn this computer, and I would be happy (lol), cause Devin is not a tool at all. Whether these guys are tools, that not for me to say, but there's room for doubt!

  • @BlackSheepBoPeep "OH GOODNESS, SLOBBER SLOBBER, WE'RE BUILDING STUFF GUIS!" No, that's just a lot of electrically sensitive squares being put together with screws. NOT SPECIAL >:(

  • @BlackSheepBoPeep By the way, I don't know how Devin Townsend came into this, but THAT'S HOW IT GOES GUYS!

  • Good job on the video guys. Question, will this case accomadate a larger ATX mobo like the EL-ATX? The specs say that it will fit an ATX mobo but I see you have installed a E-ATX mobo.

  • the asus ares sucks now XD

  • MY OLD P4 PC BEATS THAT...

  • i totaly want that heatsink :D

  • i totaly want that heastsink :D

  • next time do some planning and read the dimensions of everything before installing it...

  • you guys are the biggest bunch of jealous QQ's ive ever seen

  • I really hope these guys doesnt build computers for work.

A really bad and slow build.

  • fail build overall. crappy case, fail on taking advantage of sata 6, just a terrible mess newegg is such an epic company so why these chumps?

  • @jarlmaster47 i believe that case costs 200 bucks from newegg, id rather get that antec 300 illusion for 150 less

  • @sexking83 the case is 400 USD, lols xd

  • I hate that case, too small. Heat issues in their future.

  • That case is horrible, and there is like hardly no air flow at all sheesh.

  • how about some water cooling? your professionalism is embarrasment to your company! linus forever!

  • @hikmaet win. linus owns at building. or trubritar or maxishine for that matter

  • I wonder why they went with Sata II MLC SSD? I would have personally not gone short on this build with mainly the fact this supports sata III. My change for the HDD and SSD specs.

    1. Sata III SSD SLC for OS/random apps.

    2. Sata III 2tb 6/gbs for storage.

    the rest on sata II.

  • noobs!!!!

  • Why didn't you don't just get a new case like the HAF X this one is SHIT!

  • i wanted to see you plug the power in to the vid cards but you frigin skipped that .. thanks for waisting 14 mins of my time.

  • I just ordered dominator ram :) good to know that i wont need to order the noctua aswell ^^

  • How do you find out who won cause I did not see it on facebook and I am a fan of newegg!

  • There should be 245 dis-likes....

  • I wouldn't mind it at all, if you liek just gave me that comp, not at all sir(s)

  • Who purchases that type of equipment and uses a Bronze powered Power supply? :P

  • does newegg ship to australia?

  • @MrTURTLE106 oops dont worry, found the anwser

  • I would have dumped the memory and got lower profile so you could have used the Noctua NH-D14, no way I would have let memory keep me from using the BEST CPU cooler on the market. I really don't care for that case either. Things installed above the CPU cooler is NOT a good thing. Heat needs to escape there, instead, now the hard drives have to deal with the heat from the CPU. Not impressed with this set-up at all.

  • 4 Video cards.. Jesus They should do this build in the HAF 932..

  • Lian Li should make a full tower version of this case cause this case is AWESOME and add larger fans and it should support extended atx motherboards

  • Newegg, please get somebody else to do these videos. Also, cable management.

This guy is not confidence inspiring. Honestly. Comes across a little dim.

  • Those 2 Ares Cards are just sick (size of the card) :)

  • newBegg. Wasn't Matt supposed to be there so everything goes smoothly? Why didn't he bother to put the cooler and RAM on the board BEFORE putting it in the case? Inexperience or just an oversight? Well, thank goodness he was there to "suction" a piece of dust. LOL.

  • Everything seems great except the case should have been the Obsidian 800D with water cooling. Also, keeping the psu plugged in will keep the unit grounded.

  • Everything seems great except the case should have been the Obsidian 800D with water cooling.

  • Just a quick question, has anyone claimed the Heatsink yet? It would be nice to get a reply from some at Newegg. If not, I would consider grabbing it. (If possible)

  • After reading all your helpful comments I want to build the following. I am going to keep my video card and HD for now. (Cant afford more now) any comments

    Intel Core i7 980X Extreme 12MB L2 3.33 Ghz

ASUS Rampage III Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX

    Cooler Master HAF-X Computer Case

    Kingston KHX2000C9AD3T1K36GX 6GB

Liquid CPU Cooling Coolit Vantage A.L.C.

Power Supply Corsair Professional Series 1200W Modular Power Supply

Memory Cooler Geil EVO Cyclone memory cooler

  • Um, YEAH, I WANT THE COOLER lol

  • omg.. they created a build that they werent sure if all the components would fit..

  • so this is what they do with their money...

  • 11:15 it look like a mafia drug transaction like in the movies

  • really nice bundle maybe if hey had chosen a two normal 5970s maybe someone who is rich could afford it

  • I love it...

  • its really fun seeing you guys trying to install that massive cpu cooler....advice. trunk the ram hahahaha .D peace....

  • I want to see Pauls computer -_-

  • My 40 yr old Father and his mate could do this within a Day, within 6-7hrs, Whilst partly drunk quicker than you guys...

  • how about giving me the niffty computor???

  • anyone notice that the much nicer level 10 case is in the background?

  • Their stupidity fucking hurts me...

  • Day two? DAY TWO!?!? Perhaps you need different tech installers to get this job done in a handful of hours... and properly. Like TURNING THE HSF 90 DEGREES TO FIT.

  • i've never built a computer before in my life, but i know you're supposed to put the parts on before you put it in the case...

  • Holy air bubbles batman!

  • Company men HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • OMG the heat sink..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I wantz those computer parts :p

  • bah.. shitty pc... the only purpose of getting a pc so powerful is to get a lot of screen tearing (do to excesive framerate) when playing 3D stereoscopic surround (3 monitors)

Of course if the winner is not happy with this machine and should dump it (or send it to my house)

...and yea it's a Pink powerhouse!

  • Real nice cpu back plate hole, FUCKING WORTHLESS. You always install memory, cpu, and cpu heatsink with the motherboard out of the case so problems like this you will never encounter.

  • @traingp7 Who knows you're replacing your CPU cooler and do not wanna remove the motherboard??

  • @traingp7

On that case, yes. Not on most cases though.

  • @traingp7 I don't think its necessary for any vulgarity comments to get your point across.

  • @traingp7 You are right about putting parts on before putting the board in the case, but if you've bought a new cooler a backplate hole comes in very useful, since you don't have to take it all out of the case.

  • @traingp7 But when u gonna change your cpu heatsink with a backplate it's pretty handy. Instead of remove your whole system 4 that 1 backplate. XD

  • If I won this, I'd put it all in a HAF-X case, place a extra 200mm fan in the top, give it 12 Gigs of Crucial Ballistix RAM, red. Give it a much more suitable CPU heatsink, And enjoy the spoils.

    All bought from Newegg ;D

  • so..who won?

  • @AznDuD333 the sweepstakes doesnt end until 11:59 tonight. then the winner will be announced within 10 days of the sweepstakes close

  • @baseballa1639

it sure as hell closed days ago in canada

  • thanks for the thermal paste explanation and tip!

  • It sounds like these guys have no idea what they are talking about. They could have done a better job on the case.

  • That case blows look at how packed it is they have no air flow

  • I thought they'd BSOD when they first booted up. Seeing as they already screwed up so much stuff, it would of only added to the entertainment, rather than make them look any stupider.

  • newegg ALSO needs to work on their Reviews Q.A department. I STILL see reviews on a ssd or hard drive..and the dumbass reviewer writes a review about a FUCKIN PC CASE OR FANS! LEARN HOW TO READ NEWEGG AND "SOME" OF you newegg review writers!

  • im wanting to see Paul do a full review of G skill phoenix 120gb pro ssd

  • omg you can choose better on the case..

  • I I win this, First thing i'm doing is moving everything into my Thermaltake Spedo Advanced, then Switching out that CPU cooler.

  • what a fail build

    -crummy cpu cooling

    -not the best case

    -fail at spreading thermal paste

    -not the best psu

    -psu wasn't even MODULAR

    -fail at mounting cpu cooler

are these guys supposed to be experts?

  • what a fail build

  • holy shit 2 inside is insane

  • Isnt the CPU Tri/Quad channel DDR3? Why go with two sticks? ugh!

  • amateurs!!!!

  • Not Bench Testing = FAIL

H70 for a cooler would have been better and still rich noob-friendly!

That Antec PSU isn't good enough for use as a door stop. A modular SeaSonic or Corsair would have been 10,000x better. You used TWO of the world's best current GPU and a garbage PSU?? FAIL

    Smearing thermal paste = FAIL

An Obsidian or L10 would have been a better choice.

However, I like the Lian Li just fine!

You came close to perfection, then dropped the ball.

  • @DizbatWAR 1. Antec is one of the best power supply brands.

    2. The cases you say are "fine" are actually bad. The two you mentioned have bad airflow, and the one used in this vid is entirely too cramped.

  • @Jeffguy1542

Antec is NOT a good PSU. Why? Because the don't single-source their suppliers. You may get a GREAT one 3 times in a row, and the 4th with fry your $2000 computer. Not worth it. Research it, then form an opinion.

As far as cases, you'd need Danger Den or similar semi-customs to put that much crap into without being cramped. It's an eATX case they used, bout as good as production cases will get for fit, and it's aluminum.

  • @DizbatWAR they do benchtest in the next video. Think before you speak

  • Google "How to Bench Test your system" before you insult me.

    Thank you

  • @DizbatWAR Umm I just did and the first few things that came up are either articles from 2007 or fail articles. I don't need to have an argument with people can't even provide decent resources to back up their comments. I feel like you think you know so much about computers but you don't. You got many people hating on you and frankly, I think you're just a troll so I'm done with you.

  • fans mightve appreciated it more if they got to build ti themselves

  • @AznDuD333 agreed

  • awesome combo but you ruined it with that bullshit case

  • No room for lower hard drive cage with power supply installed :(

  • @bryctucker I think you're thinking about the Antec 900, which is a mid tower. The Antec 1200 is the big brother to the 900 and is a full tower. Both cases have excellent air cooling and support water setups. Full tower is the most logical solution for this build

  • @killcoins yep, full blown water cooling would have worked better in any case. and the funny thing is, you commented 5 days ago, and i just now got the email saying you commented....

  • MIGHT AS WELL GETS THE GAS AND MATCHES!!!!!!!!!

  • i love tech hardware and software so much don't you.....

  • wow those cards come in nice cases lol

  • That i7's stock cooler should be able to pull off a push and pull cooling method. With that it would definitely keep that CPU cool.

  • i have my ares in a haf x much better idea than this oven like case...

  • Honestly, the build looks nice, but I don't think that poor little sound card is going to last long between those two ovens of video cards. Yeah I agree with many, that you should switch to a better case, especially if you want those two cards and to over clock. If you see the BIOS screen, it says the computer is running at 145 F degrees. Thats not too bad, but if you had a better cooler and a bigger computer case, you wouldn't have that high of a temperature. Water Cooled FTW

  • were did they get these guys?
